MICHAEL'S POV

Well isn't this great? Once I told my friends about Y/N they were practically desperate to see her, not in like uh wanting to see her body way but just more like to tease her.. I mean I did describe her to them but they still just had to see for them self's

But we decided to go down to the basketball court to shoot around and probably 2 v 2, but I had no idea she would've been there.

"Yo, you guys see that chick over there at the court" Jacob smirked and elbowed Andrew in the arm "Wait shit, Michael that kinda looks like that Y/N girl you were talking about last night" As Jeremy quickly look over me and slightly shoving me "Oh. Yea I think so-" I couldn't even finish my sentence before Jacob cut me off "Hell! let's go play some ball with her!" He would've ran over if I didn't grab his wrist "No way in hell, are you going to run over there and look like you're just fucking despite for her" I said pulling him back "Damn being a bit bitchy huh, Afton?" Andrew said with a grin

"Shut the fuck u-" "Let's just go over there say hi or something and just see how that goes, hm?" Jeremy said before I could say more. Then we all decided to go over

Once we got closer I saw Y/N get the rebound off of one of her shots then look over to notice us, I could see her slightly squint eyes probably noticed me, we were all on the court now "Mike isn't that the Y/N girl you told us about last night" As Jacob said dreamy to make sound like I had a crush on her or something

After he said that I shot a quick glare at him then Jeremy spoke up since he was pretty out going, "Hey! I know you probably don't know us but I think you know Mike right? He said that your dad works with his dad or something like that" He said looking at her then at me "Oh! um yeah, they
do-" Then she shot a quick confused glance at me then looking back at Jeremy "-So uh how can I help you guys?" Y/N said looking confused on why we came over here to talk to her "Well we forgot out basketball and since Mike knows you, we decided to come over here to shoot with you" Jacob said with a grin, I could tell he definitely wanted to get with her I mean he is a player after all, getting a new girlfriend after a week after of getting out of a relationship. "Yeah um sure I don't mind" Y/N said with a soft smile passing him the ball, I don't know why but I got this jealous feeling I don't get why but I just did "Alright let's play and stop talking" I said with a annoyed look and took the ball from Jacob

"Okay so 2 v 2 with one sub every basket?" I heard Y/N say "Yeah sure, who's with who?" As I replied looking over to her, then Jeremy interrupted "Andrew with Y/N and me and you Mike, Jacob can sub first" He said as he walked over to Andrew "Here Y/N you start with ball" I said while passing her the ball "Damn it Mike you know I would rather play defensive." She replied and slightly rolling her eyes and jog over to the 3 point line "Oh I know, that's why I'm letting you have the ball in the first place" I said with a smirk

After playing for awhile, about a hour now? I couldn't help but notice how good she was at playing, god she could easily beat Jacob to the net getting a basket but she was even better at defensive, really good. Knew how to cut, pass, shoot and definitely guard and all that fancy shit

Y/N'S POV
july 4th, 1982 2:17pm

"Shit." As I sighed and wiped my forehead "What? Getting tired
Y/N?" Michael chuckled and look over at me "Well fuck! Do you know how hot it is out here? I'm dying of the heat" I heard Andrew whining from the sideline while lightning a cigarette "Yeah, I could use a cold drink or whatever" Jeremy said and fixed up his baseball cap and his long-ish blonde hair

"Okay let's go to the gas station then go to that carnival that starts at 4, Y/N you wanna come? they do this every summer and well since it also the 4th of july" Jacob said while taking the cigarette from Andrew "Yeah well I don't see why not since I got nothing better to do, just gotta go home to get change after we get back from the gas station" As I replied to Jacob grabbing the ball from Mike, then all 5 of us left the court

Once we got to the gas station we got some drinks and Jeremy got a small bag of chips and some 7 up , Andrew got a candy bar and red Gatorade, Michael got Coke, Jacob got Dr. Pepper
and I got F/N drink (favourite drink) After that we went out and sat on the side of the road, then Jacob got his stereo player out of his bag and started blasting 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap' by AC/DC, not bad music taste I thought but something by Queen or something like them would've been a bit better. "Wanna smoke?" Andrew said elbowing me "Nah sorry, haven't smoke since march and I want it to stay like that til school starts or whenever" I lied, of course then Michael look over at me slightly squinting his eyes well yeah he knew I was lying but didn't say anything then took a sip of his Coke "Oh alright, I understand. Been there done that but as you see it didn't work" He replied slightly laughing bringing back the cigarette to his mouth then blowing smoke out. A woman passed by us in her car, giving us a dirty look then Michael flipped her off she saw but just drove away.

"Alright I gotta go, see you guys at 3:30ish?" I say as I stand up getting off of the curb I was sitting on "Yeah, Mike will come get you since you probably don't know where the carnival is" Jeremy said throwing out his bag of chips in a nearby trash bin "Okay, I'll just walk home with you Y/N" Michael said walking over to me "Alright bye guys!" I said walking off with Mike "Bye! nice meeting you
Y/N!" Andrew said turning around and yelled so you could hear him "You too!" As I yelled back

After me and Mike couldn't see the 3 others he decided to break the silence "Why did you lie to them?" He said turning his head to face me "I don't like people knowing I smoke." I said keeping my face faced to the ground "Oh. why is that?" "Because no one knows I do, I've be doing since I was like 13? Yes I know its bad but beside I don't do it that much probably like 2 times a month. I do it to calm down, mostly at night-" I said picking up my head to face him "- The reason why I don't tell anyone is that they will probably think I'm doing it to look cool or some shit" I added "I don't blame you Y/N honestly, like i said last night your secret is safe with me and I also do it to calm down to. Maybe when you feel like it, we could maybe go o-out and smoke talking about shit and getting to know each other" He said, both of us slowly started to blush "Oh um sure! but where?" I replied to him hopefully it wasnt to noticeable that I was blushing "I know some places around this small ass town" He chuckle in his british accent, breaking eye contact.

Then before I knew it I was home. I mean me and Mike actually ended up talking about us playing basketball and hockey after that conversation about why I lied about smoking "See ya Y/N, I'll come over at 3:20 so we can get to the carnival a bit early so we don't have to wait in the line to get tickets for to long" He said with a warm smile "Okay! sounds good to me, see ya mike" I replied giving him a warm smile before opening up my door then I looked at him leaving the driveway before I close the door and went upstairs to go get ready
