Manal's POV
Abubakar and I walked downstairs together like the couple that we are. Inallilahi what's wrong with me.

We sat on the dining table eating, silence spreading all over the room before Abubakar broke it. "So how was your night?" He asked. "It was fine Alhamdullillah." I muttered shyly. I still don't have the courage to face this man.

"Okay Mashallah." He muttered and a grin found its way to my face. We finished eating and he went to the office. I sat down on the couch watching TV. And I needed someone to talk to.

So I picked up my phone and dialed hanifa's number. Luckily she picked up after the second ring. "Hello hanifa." I said joyfully. "Hey Manal." She replied.

"How have you and your husband been?" She asked and I didn't resist the urge to roll my eyes even though she couldn't see me. "We'll technically it was our first night 'together' so obviously it was fine." I replied. Note the sarcasm.

"Manal, your so funny." She muttered and I agreed. "Now where's that foolish sister of mine?" I asked. "Haha, she's downstairs let me call her." She muttered and I nodded. "Hafsah! Hafsah zo ga Manal!" I heard her yelling from the other end of the call.

"Na'am!" I heard hafsah yell and I couldn't help but release a giggle. "Hello Manal." She said. "Hello hafsah ya kike?"(hello hafsah how are you)? I asked. "Lafiya kalau alhamdullilah."(fine Alhamdullillah).

"Toh se angima its getting late and I have to cook." I muttered. "Iyye har an fara wife duties kenan."(ohh, so you've even started wife duties). Hafsah mocked. "Ke! Dan bana can ne in Baka ba se na ci maki."(you! It's because I'm not there if not I would have dealt with you). I muttered helplessly.

"Ohh, but unfortunately your not." She muttered and giggle and I just cut the call because of how annoyed I was. I was about to get up and start cooking when I realized I haven't called or spoken to mama and baba yet. I called them and we spoke for a while before I cut the call.

I stood up and started preparing jollof spaghetti for Abubakar and myself. After some time I was done and I set everything on the table.

I realized it as maghrib time when I heard the adzhan calling. I went upstairs to my room and performed ablution and then spread my mat wide and started praying.

I finished praying and I did my evening azhkar when I realized Abubakar wasn't back yet so I decided to read Quran. I started reading Quran until I heard the loud horn of Abubakar's car. I rounded off and then folded the prayer mat and stepped downstairs.

"Sannu da zuwa."(welcome back). I muttered almost immediately he entered. "Yawwa." He said as he nodded slightly. "Umm... na yi abinci."(umm... I made dinner). I muttered pointing towards the table. "Toh, Daman yunwa nake ji."(okay, I was even hungry). He said. "Oh, sannu."(oh, sorry). I muttered.

It's only one night we've spent and he's already acting normal. Wow he's one courageous man.

Abubakar's POV

It's been a month now of me and Manal being together as husband and wife. And I won't lie Manal is... she is a really obedient wife. She's calm and also nice.

As much as I don't want to, I'll admit I'm kinda falling for her. Well apparently I'm getting to the falling for her part, for now let's just say I like her.

I don't know if she feels the same but it doesn't matter. Does it? Whatever though.

"Abubakar?" She called brushing me out of my thoughts. "Oh..umm... yea?" I replied. "Lost in your thoughts huh?" She asked. "Yes." I replied and met out a chuckle. "Uhh, aren't you going to work today?" She asked. "Oh no, I'm taking a day off." I muttered. "But why?" She asked. "Well I'm the owners son, so I can take a day off Cant I?" I asked.

"Oh yes, you can." She said and let out a chuckle. And yes she's getting less nervous.

"Okay I'm going upstairs." She muttered and I nodded.

Manal's POV
It's been a month of me and Abubakar being together. And we are getting better, we are not so nervous anymore.

Okay atleast I'm not nervous anymore and I've learned to accept my faith.

I was upstairs in my room/our room when I received a call from hanifa. I picked up my phone and answered the call. "Hello hanifa?" I said waiting for an answer.

"Manal how are you?" She asked. "Toh I'm fine Alhamdullillah." I muttered. "So when are you coming to see our bride to be?" She asked. And I was rather confused and didn't know what she meant.

"What do you mean?" I asked. "What? You don't know?" She asked. "No, what happened?" I asked curiosity flashing all over my face. "Hafsah, hafsah is getting married." She muttered and my eyes widened.

"Hafsah? Marriage?" I asked. "Yes, aren't you excited?"  She asked. "I mean yes, ofcourse I am but why didn't she tell me about it?" I asked. "She didn't tell you?" She asked.

"No, but I'll scold her later." I said. "Okay now who's the lucky man?" I asked and she giggled before answering "Abubakar's bestfriend." She muttered and boy was I shocked.

"What! Are you serious?" I asked. "Of course." She muttered. "Wow that's great, atleast we would see each other often." I muttered. "Mhmm." She said. "What's he's name?" I asked. "Farouk, Farouk is Abubakar's childhood friend, and they are best friends." She muttered. "Ohh, toh let me go and scold her." I said and we both giggled before I ended the call.

"Hello, how dare you?" I asked not giving her a chance to speak. "Uhhh, what did I do now?" She asked. "So you didn't think it was important to tell your sister about your wedding right?" I asked again. "Oh no Manal, everything happened so fast I didn't have the time to contact you, I'm sorry." She muttered. "Toh i forgive you amaryan Farouk." I muttered and giggled.

"Hey, who told you he's name?" She asked. "Hanifa now." I said. "Ugh, who else." She muttered and I chuckled and we ended the call.

I went downstairs immediately to break the news to Abubakar. "Abubakar! Abubakar!" I yelled while coming downstairs. "Manal, is everything alright?" He asked panicking. "Yes yes, it's just that hanifa called me now to tell me that hafsah is getting married, and to add to it she's getting married to your childhood friend Farouk." I muttered all at once.

"Really, oh my god that's amazing." He muttered happily. "I know right." I muttered as I engulfed him in a sweet and warm hug, and he did same.

Well not after we realized it and then we broke out of the hug and, we'll I was embarrassed. Well both of us were embarrassed I guess.
