A/n: This is after Pain is defeated and it is an alternate ending that popped up in my head that I wanted to write for the fun of it lol
After saying our farewells to Jiraiya Sensei's tombstone, we proceeded to walk down the forest where we heard a loud commotion.
We stepped out of the forest and standing there out in the open, were the villagers and Konoha Shinobi.
They were loudly cheering and ecstatically crying out, "Welcome back" and "We believed in you!"
"They've all been waiting for your return. Both of you," said Kakashi Sensei from the corner of his eye.
'Am I... hearing them right?'
I remained frozen in place as I stared at the rambunctious crowd before me, but I scowled my lips and slightly lowered my head. The lies that escaped their lips so effortlessly ignited something deep down inside my heart that I couldn't easily shake off.
Hatred and resentment
The memories of my childhood here in the village and the treatment I received began to resurface. I couldn't help but grit my teeth and clench my fists as their words continued to bombard me while Naruto remained awestruck but slowly loosened up.
"Liars," I darkly muttered.
"Huh?" Those who were closest to us slowly stopped cheering and stared at me in confusion with Naruto placing a hand on my shoulder and asked, "What's wrong?"
"You... You fucking liars!" I roared with my Sharingan surfacing and darkly gazing at them. My outburst startled them and they took a step back while Naruto whispered, "(Y/n), it's okay talk to me."
"No!" I swatted his hand away with my eyes ablaze as I stared the villagers down. "Where was all of this when I was a child?! Where was this respect and acknowledgment that none of you ever showed me?! All I received was hate and contempt from you!"
The crowd began to quiet down with some glancing at one another and some appearing shameful.
"W-We thought..." stuttered a man.
"That I was a monster?" I chimed in with red chakra unknowingly seeping through my body.
"(Y/n)," called out Neji who motioned for me to take in a deep breath, but I shook my head and tore my eyes away from him.
"How could you do that to an innocent child?" I painfully cried out as I took another step towards them with two tails forming behind me. I extended my arms out and I reached for their shirts, but my body immediately froze.
From the corner of my eye, I could see Shikamaru and I knew that he was the one that stopped me.
"Let...go," I seethed.
"I can't do that."
"(Y/n), you're not okay right now," uttered Naruto.
"You should be... siding with me... not against me," I growled and sent my blonde companion a glare with another tail forming behind me and my nails growing longer.
"I am! And I understand how you're feeling, but this isn't the way to do things."
"We're sorry!" Pleaded a woman who dropped to her knees as she desperately clung to her toddler.
'The audacity they have!'
I started to fight against the shadow that restrained me by forcing my body to move. I forced my head to look to the right by an inch and I stared at Shikamaru with my Mangekyo Sharingan catching him off guard as I entrapped him in a genjutsu.
