Introductions

We arrived back home the next morning and headed right towards the Hokage Tower and gave our report to Lady Tsunade regarding the mission and the encounter with Orochimaru and Sasuke.

She noticed the scratch on Sakura's arm and your bandaged up thigh but she didn't question it. We were eventually dismissed from her office and headed out to enjoy ourselves and relax until we were called in for our next mission.

"So (Y/n), Sakura why don't the three of us go out to eat together or maybe I could take one of you two out on a date," he said to us although he was mainly looking at you while we were walking down the streets of Konoha with Sai walking behind us.

"I don't know, we're all pretty tired right now. Plus you should know my answer by know," said Sakura.

"If it's a date then you gotta pick between one of us," you stated while motioning a finger between you and Sakura.

"Oh come on Naruto, you can always go on a date by yourself," jokingly said Sakura.

"Or there's Sai," you playfully added and stifled your laughter with your hand because you found your own comment funny. Naruto looked at him and furiously shook his head in a disgusted manner.

After that, you all headed home with Sakura taking one route, Sai staying behind, and then you and Naruto taking the same route. It didn't take very long until you both reached the apartment complex. Entering the complex, you both walked up the first flight of stairs to reach your rooms that resided next to each other. Saying a farewell, you entered your room and threw your backpack on the ground then jumped on your bed.

You decided to unpack your items whenever you woke up from your short nap in a few hours. However that nap did not take a few hours like you had planned, except you had slept through the whole day until the next morning. You didn't even realize it was the next day until you heard a loud pound on your door as well as Naruto's shouting.

"Come on (Y/n) wake up already! Enough of that beauty sleep girls talk about, we're gonna go visit Kakashi Sensei remember!"

"Alright just give me a few minutes!" You shouted at him while grumbling and rubbing your eyes. You quickly tried fixing the sheets on your bed and grabbed some casual attire which consisted of a (s/c) shirt with the Leaf symbol on your right sleeve and a pair of black leggings.

Unpacking your stuff would have to wait again but you quickly slipped on your black ninja sandals without running into anything on your way out. Once you opened the door you could see Naruto sitting on the floor, leaned up against the wall.

At the sight of seeing you, he jumped up from the ground and took his leave with you by his side.

"Man I wonder how Kakashi Sensei is holding up," asked Naruto with both hands behind his head.

"Eh he should be fine. As long as he has his Icha Icha Paraside book then he's all good."

"No doubt about that," he said but then gave a small sigh right after that. His mind seemed to be elsewhere, he seemed be distracted by something else. The change in his tone of voice was different from his usual self.

You know like how you could just sense when something is wrong with your friends just by the slightest change in their behavior or tone? Well it's like that.

"Hmm what's wrong?" You asked while nudging his arm. You both had arrived a nearby bench and decided to take a seat.

"I guess I'm still stuck on Sasuke and what happened. Plus I had this strange dream last night. It was almost like a malevolent chakra, almost like the nine tails."
