Plot gist: Lorelai has been begging you for a cat for the past year. Rory finds a kitten and you keep it and give it to Lorelai.

"Lorelai no" you stood her sternly when you found another picture of a kitten taped in the microwave

"But why not" you heard her whine from the bathroom.

"No cats. I'm allergic"

"Wow mom you'd really kill y/n over a kitten," Rory said sarcastically walking into the kitchen to get breakfast

"I was just thinking about it," Lorelai said innocently

"You're lucky you're cute" you kissed her pouted lips and her pout turned into a smile

"Have a good day at school" both you and Lorelai kissed Rory

"Go make big bucks baby" you kissed her lips damming her ass playfully as she headed toward the door

"You're home early" you greeted Rory looking at the time.

A little too early.

Then you looked at her.

"Rory.." you looked at her in confusion

She was standing with a small cardboard box in her hands.

"That better not be what I think it is" you raised an eyebrow at her

"Listen, let me explain.. ok so, Paris and I volunteered at the animal shelter and... there was this mama cat who gave birth but she rejected this kitten. this ONE KITTEN. so I adopted her."

"you did not," you said sounding shocked and slightly unimpressed.

She handed you the certificate of adoption

"You adopted this legally?!" You were shocked. This wasn't a Rory thing to do. She's acting like her mother

"Oh yeah, by the way, you can't rehome her until the end of next month," she said casually handing you another sheet of paper

"Good luck hiding her from mom" she handed you the kitten

"Rory I don't want this" you tried to hand the kitten back to her but she was already back out the door.

maybe it won't be too bad.

lorelai's birthday is coming up soon and you didn't have a 'big' gift for her yet.

"Rory" you yelled after thinking for a moment

she appeared after a second

"does this kitten have a name?"

"yeah Pippa" she smiled fondly at the kitten

"pippa huh.. well go get Pippa a litter box and some food... oh and don't forget a collar"

"wait, we're actually keeping her?!" she asked shocked

"yes," you said simply and she came to wrap her arms around you hugging you tightly from behind as best she could seeing as you were sitting at the table

"thank you, thank you. you're the best ever. mom's gonna be so happy"

"Yeah, yeah... hurry up and go before your mom gets home" you ordered and she scurried off happily

"I CAN NOT BELIVE IT, YOU GOT ME A KITTY" she jumped on you similar to how Rory did earlier this morning

"YOU'RE THE BEST GIRLFRIEND IN THE WORLD" she kissed your lips repeatedly

"so I've heard" you joked einking at rory who was smiling fondly at the pure joy of her mother.
