you felt a sudden wave of abstinence, you looked at her face. it was washed with grief and sadness as you left her alone on the edge of the bed
"I think you should leave" you announced wiping your now sweaty hands on your jeans
"y/n"
"no, no. I'm so sorry that I embarrassed you, I'm sorry you had to take care of me. I'll never put you in that position again"
"I could never be embarrassed by you.. I love you. that's why I keep doing all of this. because I love you y/n. and Rory loves you. we will always be a family y/n no matter how separated we are. a family helps each other when one of them needs it. all you have to do is ask... just ask for help" she stood up as she tried to reason with you
you didn't know when but you started to cry
you were so hurt when Lorelai chose to end things with you. and now all her words were confusing you
she's the one who put you in this downward spiral and now she's trying to help you?
"Lorelai... do you hear what you're saying right now" you looked sadly down at your feet
"I know y/n. I know how this sounds but I just want you to know that if your.. struggling or- hurting this bad. to the point where it's self distructive- I'm here. I can help"
"I'm not self-destructive... and no. no, you can not help. you are the reason why I'm like this"

"I do not! what happened last night was a one-time thing. you just happened to find me" you began to raise your voice
"DO NOT- do not lie to me y/n" she tried to hide her anger
her expression changed from mad to hurt and confused
"I paid your bill. your hotel bill. Your mini-bar has already been refilled 4 times this week"
"you had no right.. you have no right. GET OUT. GOD LORELAI GET OUT" you yelled forcefully opening the door
she threw up her hands in frustration and agreement
she left.
when she hadn't heard from you in two days and received another bill from the hotel she headed back to your room.
where she found you blackout drunk and puking your guts out
her first intention was of course to rush to you
she pulled back your hair and rubbed your back, whispering sweet, kind coos into your ear as you emptied all your fluids into the toilet.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry" you immediately started to cry slumping back into Lorelai
she held you in your arms wiping the bile from your face with a wet cloth
"I know. I know honey. it's ok. it's all better now" she soothed running her hands threw your hair
