It was Tuesday.
I kept my gaze firm at our subject teacher, who had just finished announcing about another upcoming class debate on Thursday. She was now splitting the class in half, declaring who's with whom.
"Group one leader will be [Y/N], and Ryo for group two. Please take down your group members as I say them aloud." I nimbly took a scrap of paper and a ballpen. "[Y/N], your co-members are: Nana, Zen, Shirley, Akise, Chae, Youzei, Light, Erina, Uda, Tenmei, and Jin'ah. Did you get them all, [Y/N], or need I repeat myself?"
"I got them all, Ma'am."
"Your group will be defending Socrates' stand on democracy, about why democracy is a flawed system. You, Ryo, on the other hand, will be defending democracy per se. And your group members are..."
I steepled my fingers, placing my chin above them. I stole a quick glance at Light. Thinking about it, wasn't it the first time we had been grouped together in class? We were always assigned as leaders of separate groups whenever there was a group activity, just like in the last class debate, wherein, quoted Tenmei, 'Light looked as if he's holding a grudge on you, and so do you!'
