word of the day: discombobulate
you have fins and yet you crawl like a lizard on all fours,
come from lakes but breathe on land like a frog or salamand'.
you're a living fossil stone from the dawn of jaw and bone.
like the tortoises and men, you can age to ten-times-ten.
you're peculiar but, yes, i still count you as my pal,
though we have our differences. everyone does, anyhow.
...but you discombobulate — there's one truth i'll always mind.
i still can't appreciate how you like to eat your kind!
