Word of the Day: Sophisticated

Huxley Hinton, hotel heir — socialite extraordinaire,

Struts on New York City streets, spending credit with no care:

"See my watch? Patek Philippe. Diamond timepiece — never cheap.

See my suit? It's Stuart Hughes. Me to gain and you to lose.

Ferragamo shoes? Oh, please. I bought ten pairs with such ease.

Fendi, Gucci, luxe-created — I am that sophisticated."

Huxley Hinton walks on by, nose stuck up towards the sky.

Paparazzi in their flock, hover, hound him block to block.

There's one thing they photograph. See them point. Hear them laugh.

Under Huxley's costly shoe — a length of toilet-paper glued!
