With many of the concepts and terms established, it is time to expand the Story Layout Worksheet to the next level of detail using the Story Builder Express Worksheet. Each of the 16 pages represents a Sequence with Crossings, Transitions, Chapters, Scenes, Segments and Elements and much more.
The first columns describe the Story Structure items, including External Pressure, Internal Responses, Thesis, Situation, etc.
The second column provides a space for you to write in your description of the items.
The third column gives a relatively close example using the movie Galaxy Quest (©1999 Dreamworks).
The fourth column gives a brief reminder or description of each item.
WARNING: DO NOT GET OVERWHELMED!
Find a manageable starting point within this workbook then slowly expand as you grasp the concepts.
ADVICE: HAVE FUN!
