I walked quickly to class determined to make it on time. I was running a bit late and I didn't have time for lunch. I was running late because I got lost. I've barely been here a week, I just transferred from here from America.

At my old school, I was the top of my class and I excelled in everything. But here, things are a bit different. I used to be enchanted by potions, it was fun and exciting to do.

Here, potions was my worst subject. I'm basically failing all because of that stupid potions Professor, Severus Snape. He has been a prick since day one. Thank god I only have one year here.

I made it to class and stood for a second and the bell rang. I made it just on time. "You're late," I monotone voice rang throughout the classroom. I looked at Snape and walked up to his desk.

"Well sir, I was in the classroom when the bell rang, so I will be taking my seat," I said in a smart tone. He looked at me with disgust, a student has never talked back to him in all his years.

"Well Ms. Y/N this is my classroom and my rules. According to my rules, you were late. Do you understand? Or do I need to dumb it down for you?" he embarrassed me in front of my classmates. They all snickered as I glared at him.

I bit my lip, keeping myself from saying something I shouldn't. "Now sit down" he demanded. I huffed and walked to the back of the class.

"Not there, L/N. Sit up here," he pointed to the seat right in front of his desk. I rolled my eyes and took my seat, grabbing my things from my bag. "50 points from Y/H and you will be serving detention with me for the rest of the month," he huffed, writing on the chalkboard. I groaned and hit my head against the table.

"I can make it two months if you wish," he tested me.

"No sir."

The class was boring, and Snape was breathing down my neck the entire time. He makes me nervous and I kept messing up the dumb potion. I made it at least 7 times, every time he was right behind me, telling me I was doing it wrong.

"Sir, with no disrespect, maybe if you were not hovering over me I would get it right," I spat with annoyance.

He back off and came back with a slip of paper. "Stay after class. You can do so since I know you have no classes after mine, so don't try to lie to me," he hissed, giving me the stupid detention slip.

I put away my things and waited as everyone left the classroom. He shut the door and turned to me, his eyes glaring at my body. I felt weak and small under his intense staring.

"You've been here barely a week and you're already disrespecting your professors," he hissed, walking to the back of the class.

"Sir, I'm not going to respect you if you don't respect me. I'm a human too and I deserve the respect you think I should be giving you," I stood my ground, watching him glide around the room.

He grabbed a bucket of soapy water and sat it on the desk. "Since I don't have a class, I think your first punishment should be to wash the classroom, ceiling to floor. It better be perfect, or your detention will last even longer," he demanded.

I looked up at him and he was a bit closer than I realized. "I don't deserve this. It's your classroom, you clean it," I growled. He glared at me, taking 3 steps closer. I had to back up so he didn't bump into me. I felt my desk against my back and Snape was trapping me against it.

He didn't say anything, he just glared at me. I gulped and took in a breath. All I could smell was him, I can't lie, he smelled good. He had an almost manly scent. After what felt like forever he backed away from me.
