Contains a very brief mention of alcohol, and *spoilers* awkwardness and cuddling!

You sat up in your bed, your light blanket covering your legs and waist. A sigh released from your body and you rubbed your forehead. Insomnia had struck again, and it now rendered you unable to fall asleep for the life of you.

It wasn't to say you hadn't done enough during the day. In fact, you had been so busy running around with the Bad Batch squad that they all had proceeded to essentially go to bed right after the mission was over. You however knew that was no simple task... for you anyways. You could even faintly hear the rumbling of Wrecker's snores from where you lay. Frowning, you shoved the covers aside, standing up and going to get some blue milk. Perhaps that would help your mind get into the right track of feeling sleepy.

As you crept down the metal halls of the shuttle, you froze as you saw some lights were still on. Tiptoeing closer, you noticed it was coming from the cockpit. Scrapping your original plan, you moved to investigate the reason for the lights being on. You entered the cockpit to be met with a surprise.

Tech sat in one of the chairs, idly flipping through a book in his hands. He still was in his armor, helmet abandoned on a nearby chair. His gaze jumped up from the book to you as he caught sight of your movements. "Y/N, what are you doing awake so late?" he asked you, his tone almost scolding as if he wasn't doing the same thing himself.

"I should ask you the same thing," you countered, giving him a surprised look. "You did so much today, you've got the be tired."

Tech solemnly just shook his head. "On the contrary, I have actually found myself to be hardly tired at all."

You blinked. "Uh- Same... Tech, you don't... by any chance...?"

"Experience insomnia?" he finished for you. You stared blankly at him, and so assuming he had correctly guessed what you had planned to say, he nodded briefly. "Yes."

"I do too," you said, and his eyebrows rose in response.

"Really?"

"Yeah," you answered, looking down at your hands. "It always takes me hours to fall asleep. I usually just stay in my bed and lay there until I eventually pass out but... today not even that is working."

Tech hummed thoughtfully, closing his book with a satisfying light thud. Then he stood up, walking over to you. "Perhaps we can solve this complication together," he figured, placing a hand on your shoulder.

You gazed into his goggle-covered eyes and smiled. "That sounds like a good idea," you agreed. "First of all, you should change out of your armor though. There's no way anyone could fall asleep like that."

"Except for Wrecker," Tech added as he made his way to his barracks.

You watched him go, letting out a snort. "Seriously?"

"Yes," Tech replied, his voice echoing down the corridor, despite his voice not being very loud. "You would be surprised where and how he could sleep, provided he has the right conditions." You chuckled.

Tech came back over to you a couple minutes later, now just in his blacks. His goggles remained as well. Your gaze lingered on the faint muscles visible through his tight outfit, red blossoming over your cheeks as he quietly came up to you. He held his datapad in his hand, not noticing your stares as he fidgetted with the device.

Finally, he looked up at you and you quickly met his eyes. "It appears some methods to help promote sleep include drinking non-caffenated tea, meditation, reading... as I was attempting earlier... as well as taking a warm bath..." He hummed thoughtfully, pursing his lips.
