One Month Later
**Elijah's POV**
“Hey babe how was your day?” I ask as she walks into the bedroom
“Fine, how was yours?”
“Alright”
“This is for you” she says handing me a bag
I take the bright blue bag from her I take off the paper tissue and pull out a book it says “Pregnancy for dummies” I look at it then at Asiah “Babe, what's this for?” I ask trying not to get my hopes up
“Open it” is all she says
I open the book on the inside of the cover it says “I'm ready” in Asiah neat handwriting I look up at her again “Your ready for what exactly?”
“I'm ready for us to have a baby”
“You are?” I ask feeling my voice go high pitched
“Yes”
I stand up and place my lips on hers then I drop to my knees and kiss her stomach multiple times
“Elijah” she giggles “I'm not pregnant yet”
“I know but just knowing that your ready to expand our family makes me so happy” I say rubbing her flat tone stomach
“That's not all”
“There's more?” I ask standing up
“Yeah, I was thinking about selling the studio”
“Why?”
She shrugs “I just wanna be with our kids”
“You wanna be a stay at home mom?”
She shrugs “I don't know but I do know that I want be there for our kids”
I place my hands on her hips “Asiah I love you but I'm not letting you giving up your dream because your scared”
“Excuse me who said I was scared?”
“I know you too well...”
She sighs “Fine, I already spend way too many hours at work I don't want be like my mom...she is an amazing women but she was always working so Rashaun pretty much raised me and I don't want that for Alexis and our future kid”
“Your mom didn't have anyone else but you do” I say kissing her nose
“Yeah, I have a pretty amazing husband don't I?” she asks
“Hell yeah you do...now that your mom and Rashaun have moved out and Alexis is at my mom's why don't try to make that baby”
“Elijah”
“What?”
“We're going to let it happen naturally no trying to conceive”
I sigh “A'ight”
“We're done using birth control and condoms”
“Great” I say pressing my lips against her

“Babe you need to go to sleep”
“I know”
“You've got to wake up early tomorrow”
“Don't remind me”
