“Come on Brianna walk to daddy”
“Aubrey stop trying to pressuring her to walk”
“Yeah, she'll learn to walk when she's ready”
I roll my eyes at Vanessa and Jasmine
“Mama” Noah says grabbing our attention
“Did he just say his first word?” I ask
“Yes, he did...say it again baby” Vanessa says smiling
“Mama” he says again
Vanessa takes him out his high chair “Yes, baby I am your mama”
“We have to capture this moment” Jasmine says whipping out her phone
“C'mon Noah how you gonna do your daddy like that” I say scoping Brianna off the carpet floor
“Jealous much?” Vanessa teases
“Shut up” I say bouncing Brianna “I bet you'll say daddy as your first word”
“Psh, she's gonna take after her brother and say mama as her first word” Jasmine says
“Say it again baby” Vanessa says with Noah sitting on her hip
“Mama” he says clapping his hands
“Now you guys can have this moment forever”
“Thanks Jas”
“It's no problem”
“When is this Eric guy gonna get here?” I ask Jas
“Soon”
“Oh, yeah I almost forgot we're finally gonna meet your new boyfriend”
“You guys I really like him so let's not scare him away”
“It's not me you need to worry about” Vanessa says taking Brianna from me
"You gonna go put the kids down this early?"
"It's not early babe, it's their nap time" she says leaving the living room
I fix my winked shirt “Jas, we been through a lot and I just want you to be happy”
“Eric's a good guy...he makes me happy”
“Okay, as long as your happy” I say smiling
The doorbell rings “Oh, that's him” Jas says
“I'll get the door”
“No, I'll get it” She says jumping out of her chair
“Damn girl clam yo' ass down”
“Be nice” Vanessa says walking back into the living room
“They went down without a fight?”
“Brianna did but Noah was being fussing”
“He gets that shit from you” I joke
She rolls her eyes “That's the Graham in him” she says poking me in the chest
“Vanessa, Aubrey, I want you to meet my boyfriend, Eric” Jasmine says
I shake his hand “I feel like I'm meeting my girlfriend's parents” he says laughing nervous
“Nigga chill we're all family here” I say
“C'mon Jasmine and I set up a nice lunch in the backyard” Vanessa grabbing the baby monitors
