Eryx walked into the Baxter High with his usual sneer and glare, as he passed the judgmental fucks that often frequented the halls of this hell of a school. Eryx hated every single one of them, well besides this one particular person.

Mavis Leon.

He didn't particularly like her, he just felt indifferent towards her. Like himself, she was a loner, she always stayed out of trouble and never seemed to join in the ridiculous rumors that the "mean girls" engaged in, and for that, it bought him to feel nothing but indifference to her. He never once really paid attention to her appearance, only ever noticed her hair.

He loved afros, there was just something about them that just pleased his eyes, the way they seemed to defy gravity and how they always seem to look so soft and feminine. He was so focused on whatever was going on in his head, that he didn't notice said woman bumping into his chest, hard and he instantly grew angry, glaring down at her as she backed away. "S-sorry Eryx." Her soft voice that trembled with fear as she tried to her face in her big fro and all it did, was pull his attention more to her face, and he really did pay close attention to her as he walked up to her, and she was backing away until her back was against the wall.

He instantly loved how beautifully brown her eyes was, he loved her high cheekbones as well, that lead to a beautiful set of dark brown lips, and her hair was simply glorious, he had to stop himself from drooling as he quickly collected himself.

He quickly turned up his sneer into a smirk as he started to speak. "Stay out of my way, Mavis." He sneered at her before walking away, and towards his first period class. He needed to get away from her, she was simply too stunning and he was so confused, why did her looks have such effects on him? As class started, he politely asked the teacher for a bathroom which the teacher gladly gave him while giving him a wink and he internally cringed but he didn't say anything. She always let him get away with shit, because she had a irrational crush on him for some reason.

He shook his head as he headed to his car and lit a cigarette as he looked around at the school and he tried his hardest to not think about her, as he took a drag of the cigarette and blowing out the smoke. He always did this, every morning. Came out and smoked his anxiety away, he wished he could quit but the only thing that distracted him, that didn't make him high off his ass.

He turned towards the window, where he saw Mavis through the window, her head was turned to the teacher but he couldn't help but to stare at her silhouette though the window, she looked beautiful, running her hands absentmindedly through her hair as she bit her lip before writing down something. He shook his head before throwing his cigarette on the floor and stepped on it, heading back to class.

He walked down the halls and into his first hour class, he handed the pass back to the teacher and the teacher softly took the pass, trying to touch his hand which he completely ignored as he sat back down in his seat, quickly catching up on the notes that was on the board, as per usual he tuned out the teachers insufferable voice. He sighed as he received a text from his mother telling him that she was on a date and that he needed to pick up his sister from school for the fifth time this week. He didn't personally have an issue with it persay, he was just tired of her always ditching them to run after a new guy or girl every damn day.

He spent the last few years basically taking care of his sister, making sure she was well fed, always got the money together to buy his sister's clothes and overall needs, and it pissed him beyond belief, he honestly didn't know whether he hated his own mother or not, but he knew for sure he couldn't stand her and her lack of care, he always felt like she never wanted the either of them, seeing as though she doesn't know who either of their fathers are.

He usually hid his disdain for her well, always giving her a soft smile, that you could tell was fake and he never bothered to really talk to her outside of his sister, and he preferred it that way. He sighed as he closed his notebook when the bell rang and he headed towards the door, quickly heading to his recently changed class period. English. He entered the classroom and headed to the only empty seat in the class, right next to Mavis, he pretended not to notice her sitting there and waited for the teacher to come, and when they did, they start to call out the names to see who attended the class today.

As the long insufferable period dragged on, and people were being assigned partners, he was slightly wondering who he would be paired with.

"Mavis... and Eryx." When he heard his name being called with Mavis, his face was just blank, he didnt know how to react. Of course he would be paired with the only person he had any type of emotion towards.

He bit his lip before he turned back to his notebook.

Well fuck.

Well fuck
