⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 𝐄ryx sighs as he saw Mavis laughing with another man, although it was completely innocent, he still couldn't help but to be uncomfortable and a little possessive, not the weird possessive where he'll beat up a person for no reason, but he still felt the distaste for the male, burning in his veins.

He grabbed a bottle of water from the cafeteria's vending machine, and walked over to his usual empty table. He sat down in his usual chair and surveyed his surroundings, he saw the usual people that were close by him, give him uncomfortable stares which he always ignored and he noticed the particularly pointed glare of Marcus and he rolled his eyes.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Eryx wanted nothing more but to smoke but has been trying to cut back on it more and more, not for anyone else really but for himself, and while it was slightly working, it still affected him deeply. He just wanted peace and solace and the constant battle he felt with his addiction to Nicotine, constantly had him in a losing battle.

Eryx can admit that Mavis was a much needed distraction, she was simply a breath of fresh hair. The way she responded to everything, the way she always had her head on her shoulders and even when times got tough, she was always optimistic, but he still knew she had her troubles but the best part of her was that she didn't hide them, just didn't make them her whole identity. She had her bad days and good ones, and that was the end of it for her.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ He was snapped out of his thoughts as Mavis's familar ringtone came closer and closer as she carried in both her hands food for the both of them, and while Eryx smiled a little bit, he immediately spoke. "Ahh, Mavis you did not have to." Eryx told her lowly. Mavis just smiled and shrugged. "You need to eat."

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Eryx didn't say anything, as he started to notice people staring at them with wide eyes at the interaction. Mavis has never came up to him, to eat with him at school, mostly tied to the fact that she didn't want to make him uncomfortable and that she respected his space but then she grew tired of sitting by people that weren't her true friends so she figured it wouldn't be much of a problem.

Mavis started to feel like Eryx was getting upset at her for the intrusion of space as he had a deep unreadable expression on his face and was incredibly silent but little did she know, this made him happy, so very happy. He usually didn't care about anyone sitting beside of him or even hang out with him, he had other shit to worry about, but the fact that the person who made him forget so much, decided to proudly sit beside him, in the cafeteria in front of all their peers, was something he never thought he'll see.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Mavis, feeling uncomfortable, grabbed her tray and was about to get up and leave when he grabbed her softly by the wrist and gently asked her to stay. "Stay please." He whispers and she immediately sat down and hid her smile. He barely ever uses that tone with her and it made her a bit flustered as she tried to cool herself down. "So Eryx what are you up to later?"

Eryx thought about it for a min as he raked his fingers through his hair. "Probably take Naya out to the icecream shop and then to the store to go grocery shopping, you?"

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "My parents are out of town for a bit so I was just gonna chill and smoke, you can feel free and join me later if you want?" She told him as she reapplied her lipstick and adjusted her fro a bit, she was considering going instead but figured it was better to stay home and vibe out, watching a bit of the new stranger things season that just dropped.

Mavis was always so used to going out and having fun at whatever random party she got invited to but for whatever reason this time she didnt want to, and she was okay with that.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Eryx on the other hand, wanted to spend time with Mavis, so he planned to drop off Naya at her friends again after going to the store for some much needed groceries. He hasn't spoken to his mother much, preferring to ignore her existence unless they needed to talk and he didn't care if she was upset about it.

"Bet after I drop Naya, I'm heading your way."  Eryx told her as he gave her a small smile which made Mavis smile back at him.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ He never wanted to kiss someone as much as he did her and he was so scared it was showing. She was like a cure. She was a breath of fresh air, air that he couldn't get enough of. He sighed as he drove off from school that day, picking up his sister for their icecream date and then eventually getting the groceries when he took Naya to her sleepover and he put the groceries up at home, he headed to Mavis's with a smile on his face as he walked up the steps to her residence. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

Mavis looked out of the peephole and saw him standing there smiling a sheepish smile before giving him one back and letting him. "Come on in, Eryx."

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Eryx walked in and while Mavis turned away for a moment, he just stared at her, she looked beautiful. Her hair was up top in a puff, her usual face of makeup was bare and beautiful, her lips were glossed perfectly, she was clad in a cute short pajama set and she was giving him and he smiled back at her.

Mavis blushed at him when he did that and he smiled even wider which made her blush even more and he closed his eyes for a brief moment, thinking about how for once God didn't sting him in the butt and he sighed as he looked down from her oblivious face.
