He's finally asleep. Finally.

How did he know? How did Eren find out? No one suspected it, yet somehow he...?

My head is throbbing, and I'm at a loss for what to do next.

A knock echoes through the silence, drawing my attention to the door.

I approach it hesitantly.

"Y/n?"

It's Armin.

I open the door and immediately wrap my arms around him, seeking comfort in his presence.

"Hey, hey, what's wrong?" Armin's voice is filled with concern as he notices my trembling. "You're shaking. What happened?"

I release him and without a word, walk towards the living room, pacing anxiously.

"Y/n?" Armin's footsteps approach behind me.

"What's wrong?" His voice is gentle, barely audible. "What happened?"

I finally lift my teary eyes to meet his gaze. I exhale shakily and hastily wipe away my tears. Armin's concerned expression remains fixed upon me. He knows I'm a mess.

"Take your time," he encourages, offering a small smile.

I resume my pacing, attempting to gather my thoughts.

"When I left the hospital with Eren, we... I drove him home, and when we got there, he—" I struggle to find the words, my voice faltering.

"What did he do?" Armin prompts softly. "Did he hurt you?"

"No!" I respond, almost too quickly. "No, God, no. He didn't hurt me. He... He said he wouldn't get out of the car if I went back."

"To the hospital?" Armin seeks confirmation.

I nod.

"So, I didn't know how to calm him down, so I..." I pause, my words catching in my throat. Just say it, Y/n.

"You what?"

I blow out a long breath and wipe my hands on my pants.

I feel dirty.

So fucking dirty.

I exhale deeply, wiping my clammy hands on my pants.

"I kissed him," I confess, my voice barely above a whisper.

Armin's eyes widen. The room falls into an eerie silence, a sudden shift in the atmosphere.

I meet Armin's gaze, and his expression becomes unreadable. I'm unsure of what to make of it.

"Did that make him get out of the car?" Armin asks, breaking the silence.

"What?"

"The kiss. Did it make him get out of the car?" he repeats.

"No... I mean, I told him I'd be back quickly," I clarify, my mind still in a haze.

Armin's expression momentarily hardens before softening again.

"Where is he?"

"Sleeping, in Zeke's room."

"Why Zeke's?"

"When I returned here after eating, I found the place like this—cold and dark. Eren didn't respond when I called out to him, so I went up to his room, and..."

Instead of finishing my sentence, I walk towards the stairs, hoping Armin will follow and see for himself.

I hear his footsteps trailing behind me, and I stop when we reach Eren's bedroom door.
