Chapter 5

As Sonic and Miles were going through Atlas, it was some pretty heavy weather and they were trying to keep themselves warm, Sonic noticing Miles's gadgets after they rented a room in a hotel to keep warm.

"Where'd you get all these cool gadgets?" Sonic asks

"I invented them, it's kinda my thing." Miles responds, rubbing his neck. "That's kinda my thing."

Sonic brushed the snow off.

"Remember that night at the tennis field? Yoru energy blast reached all the way to my home island! I saw you save your entire village from that craazy mustache guy!" Miles responds

"Wait, so you been watching me this whole time? Even in the shower?" Sonic questions

"Ha, that's a trick question, Sonic Speed Hedgehog prefers bubble baths." Miles responds

"Man, you're good." Sonci comments

"When I learned Knuckles was on your trail, I knew I couldn't just sit back and watch anymore." Miles states. "I had to get Longclaw's approval to find you and then warn you."

Then, Sonic's scroll went off.

"Oop, Doughnut Lord's checking in." Sonic comments, with this being Sonic and Miles's end of the text coverstaion Robotnik, Knuckles, and Stone managed to tap into to at least see.

After Sonic and Miles managed to get to their room, they both sat down.

"Wow, didn't know you were that epic at dancing!" Miles comments

"Stick with me, pal! The kingdoms can be a scary place but I know everything abotu this pale blue dot." Sonic stated

Miels stood up adn asks, "Do you really mean that?"

"Well, not everything everything, but I do watch a lot of Discovery Channel-" Sonic starts

"I meant about me being your pal." Miles comments

"Of course, bud." Sonci responds with a smile

Then, Miles hugged Sonic before sighing,

"Whoa, comin in hot!" Sonic comments with a light hearted chuckle

"Growing up, I didn't have a lot of friends." Miles comments. "Most people in my home village thought my two tailed invetion to more fit in with my parents was weird."

"Hey, I know that feeling." Sonic comments

"But then I saw you. The fastest Faunus in the galaxy!" Miles stated. "You were weird too! You were a LEGEND. That made me think maybe being weird isn't so bad. You inspired me to leave my village, to find you and help you in your mission."

"Well, i'm glad you're here, Miles." Sonic comments

"I'm glad i'm here, too, Sonic." Miles responds before they yawn

"Might as wellg et some sleep, we should be able to get clear readings on yoru gizmo when the storm is over so I-" Sonic starts before seeing Tials passed out and gently tuckign the blanket over him. "Night, bud."

The next morning, Miles was flying and he was also carrying Sonic.

"Hoo hoo! Today's forecast calls for clear sunny skies and a 100% chance of adventure!" Sonic comments

Miles's device beeped.

"I've pinpointed the coordinates!" Miles states. "It's just up ahead!"

Miles then landed himself and Sonic in a cave in the mountains. They found a massive owl door soon after.
