Teja felt him stiffen a little at the hug but she hugge him more tight telling him to hug back . his arms came around her and she relaxed. This is what she has been wanting from so many years. Him. His warmth . His love. He was her home ,and she finally felt home.

" So this is the Karan you told me about ? " Nikhil chimed in forcing them to break apart. Distancing herself still close to him , she turned to Nikhil

" Yes . He is. Karan , Come inside . I want to introduce you to someone" She held his hand and dragged him inside and he wondered what has she told Nikhil  about him .

" Sanju baby , come here . " She called out to her 5 year old daughter and he clenched his fists.

" Karan , This is my daughter Sanjana. And sanju he is friend, Karan . Say hi to uncle " She sat her on her lap taking her hand to forward her to Karan

" Hii , We meet again " He smiled warmly and she shyly shook his hand

" We met yesterday at the hospital " He cleared teja's confusion and sanju skipped of teja's lap and ran away.

" Sanjana ? You kept it on your - "

" Mom's name . yes. I feel like she is here with me " She smiled sadly and he returned a soft smile

" Would you want anything to drink. Tea or coffee , Karan ? " Nikhil asked breaking away their moment

" Oh , Tea obviously . He loves it " Teja exclaimed before he could reply and he looked at her in surplrise. So she does remember him and his likes.

" Yeah " He nodded to Nikhil .

" Mummaa , Kapde geele hogaye. Change Karado " Sanju came running and teja sighed.

" It's okay. You guys talk , i am sure you have a lot to catch up . I'll change her " Nikhil quipped and teja looked at him gratefully for understanding her. He always did. And she hated how he has helped her in all these years.

Karan looked at the exchange and the knots in his stomach tightened. It was such a domestic scene.

They both said at the same time and laughed.

" You go ahead " He gestured

" How's everyone ? " She asked in a small voice . She misse them .

" They are okay. Mom misses you so much. Why don't you just come and visit them once ?" He asked

" I .... Umm I'll see " She replued awkwardly and he frowned

" How have you been Teja? Where were you all these years? You know how much i tried to find you ? It was like you disappeared in thin air . No sight of you "

" Why ? "

" Huh ? "

" Why do you want to know Karan. Weren't you the one who wanted me out of your life "She sighed 

" What ? I never said that teja."

" Ofcourse you did. By not trusting me and telling me not to interfer in your kife you did tell me to stay away from you . " She spat 

" I didn't mean it that way "

" Karan. Don't justify please. You didn't trust me then , so what's the use of justifying now ? I don't want to know anything " She said sternly and he opened and cloesd his mouth a bit bewildered

" Okay " He nodded. Let's keep it a simple one time meet. A normal talk and he'll be gone

" How's Ria though ? Did you guys get married ? " She asked keeping a stone on her heart. Only she knew how difficult it was to ask that question
