"For fuck's sake... A, I'm serious." He said with those pleading eyes. "I really need your help."

You look at Jungkook, giving him your full attention but hearing him claim that he needs YOUR help made you snort. "Yeah right! Did you hit your head this morning?"

"A, I'm serious... I badly need your help." Jungkook says in that familiar tone when he's serious.

You're interrupted by the the bell signifying end of last period. Your lab teacher suddenly announces for those who aren't finish to stay behind and as much as you want to lend him an ear, you're still halfway through your experiment.

That's what you get for deciding to work on your own instead of with a lab partner. It takes double time to finish the experiments. You were about to spare Jungkook a few minutes of your time but he cuts you off right away.

"It's fine... just forget I asked." He said sounding a bit disappointed before turning his back to leave.

What could you possibly help him with? As far as you're concerned, you don't even share the same interests in school anymore. He's into sports and you're into academics so you're still puzzled.

"Okay team, great work today but we still need to hustle during practice. We'll be entering a more intensive phase of training... and that starts tomorrow. I'll see you all at 6AM sharp!" The coach announces to his team in a locker room filled with eager players.

"Yes sir!" Everyone said in unison followed by a low growl.

"Great! Go straight home guys... Jeon! Drop by my office before you leave." He says straight at him to which Jungkook nodded in response.

After cleaning up, Jungkook went straight to coach Dan's office. "You wanted to talk to me?"

"Focus on your grades Kook... you need an above passing mark on Science and Tech or else you're off the team." The middle aged man says in disappointment.

"I'm on it coach..."

"Don't bother coming tomorrow, take extra time to study."

"But coach..." Jungkook says in pure shock.

"The team needs you Jeon and for you to be there you need to focus on your studies."

"But I need to train too... I can't just abandon the team!"

"You're not abandoning your team here, the only time you will is if you don't get a good mark." Coach Dan says in a concerned voice. "I'll see you during Monday practice..."

Jungkook walked out of there looking really down. Good thing no one else was around to witness him like this. It's 8PM and everyone else have gone home including all his teammates. He was too consumed by what coach Dan said that he didn't notice you waiting for him.

You decided to hear him out after getting a tip from Halsey that Jungkook is indeed having problems with staying on the team. You went to the library to get all your homework done after school and headed to his car when you saw the field empty.

"Hey!" You greeted him as he approached.

Seeing you waiting for him while leaning on the driver's side of his car gave him a bit of hope. "Hey..." He said weakly. "What are you doing here?"

You tilt your head to one side and spread your palms. "Keys!"

It didn't take him a minute to toss you the car keys before getting to the passenger's side. You went for drive thru burger and fries before parking the car a few blocks away from your homes.

"Okay spill..." You said while getting ready to devour your burger.

Jungkook however has started eating during the drive so he was left with nothing to eat. "I'm failing Science Tech and coach Dan says I can't mess up or else... I'll get kicked out of the team."

"Okay, that's huge..." You set your burger aside and fiddle through your phone. You checked your schedule and a warm smile formed on your lips seeing you still have enough time to spare tutoring him.

"I'm free every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays after class. Does that sound good to you?"

"What if I have football practice? Are you okay to teach me late at night?"

"Yeah I guess. I'll just do my homework and study ahead while you're at practice. Then we can work on yours after." You say that with much confidence as you munch your burger while doodling the schedule on your phone.

You didn't notice but Jungkook was actually impressed at how you're handling this smoothly. Now he knows he definitely asked the right person for help. He suddenly averted his eyes away when you looked up to him.

"Are we good?" You asked, a hint of concern showing on your face.

"We're great!" He replied with a big smile as he continues admiring the way you're perfectly handling the situation.
