How To Explain

With that sentence Lou drifted off to sleep. It sounded like she didn't believe me but I didn't want to make assumptions. I couldn't help but kiss her on the forehead when I left. I noticed a small, sleepy smile slip off her lips.

When I got downstairs everyone looked up at me and giggled slightly. Especially Jasper. He felt all my embarrassment. I couldn't help but smile back.

"Would I be correct to assume that Alice has told you that I have found my true mate?" I said while laughing.

"yea, yup, pretty much, when isn't she the first to tell," I heard them all mumble.

"Well, I am going to head upstairs. I have told Louise about our kind. She is not afraid but I would like to take her to training with us tomorrow if thats okay with all of you."

"Sure that would be great Carlisle!" Everyone said

I went back upstairs. I could only wish that Edward couldn't hear my thoughts from up here.

She was so beautiful. She made me feel so special and as though nobody else could have ever loved me. Her beautiful sea green eyes dug into me like daggers but fascinated me. She was hiding many dark things behind those eyes. I have never felt so drawn to someone at first sight. It was like two magnets being pulled close together with no obstacles. What if someone tried to take her away from me? What would happen if she died? I don't think I could live without her. I started panicking as if someone/thing was trying to take my lou away from me.

"Would you stop thinking like that!" Edward bursted into my room. "Nothing is going to happen to her. All of us will help keep her safe. Shes practically family." I felt reassured thanks to Jasper.

"Thank you Edward. I am very grateful. Thank you too Jasper!" I shouted also trying not to be too loud as not to wake my Louise.

Louise p.o.v.

I woke up to the sunlight shining in on me through the large window in the room Carlisle had me staying in. I sat up and remembered my arm and ribs. They didn't hurt as much as they did last night. I soon remembered what Carlisle had told me last night. About them not being human. I shook it off knowing I would get some kind of explanation from him today. I stood up and walked out to the kitchen where Alice was making me breakfast. Carlisle was sitting in one of the chairs at the counter looking at the newspaper. He noticed me.

"Oh, good morning Louise! How are you feeling?" Carlisle asked politely.

"I feel a lot better. Thank you for helping me last night." I quickly responded.

Alice put the plate of pancakes she cooked in front of me. I ate them quickly.

"Louise would you like to come and watch us train out in the fields today. I think it would be great for you to see what we are capable of. Also there is a place I would like to take you. There is something very important I need to talk to you about," Carlisle said without looking up from his newspaper.

"Yea, sounds interesting. There is something I wanted to talk to you about too." With that I went back to the room I was staying in. Damn it, I didn't have any other clothes. I bet Alice would let me borrow some. She was in her room, I knocked quietly on her door. She immediately opened it.

"Whats up Lou?" She said sweetly.

"Um, I didn't bring any clothes. Could I maybe borrow some of yours?"

"Of course silly!" She brought out a black button up t-shirt and some skinny jeans.

"Thank you so much, Alice," I said.

"Don't even mention it"

I put the clothes on in my room. It was a partial struggle though because of the casts. I couldn't help but think over and over. How am I going to tell Carlisle that I have grown to love him?

I went to the kitchen and saw Carlisle sitting waiting patiently in the same spot he was in before.

"I'm ready," I said quietly.

"Okay great! You look really nice by the way," He said and shivers were sent down my spine.

Carlisle walked past me and yelled for the others to come down so we could leave. They all were down in what I swear was the same time it took to blink your eyes. We left the large house and started getting into the cars. Jasper and Alice in one, Rosalie, Emmet and Edward in another, and me and Carlisle in his car.

It was quite a long drive but I was glad because it gave me time to think about how to talk to carlisle.

We finally got there and I was astonished at what I had seen.
