I tried my best to avoid Elias, but due to my job it was just an impossible task.
I didn't hate him, in fact I wasn't even close to the word hate.
I was just upset.
His form of being was so confusing and the way he treated me wasn't always positive.
Sure we would talk and have a great time, but other times he would reject me or deny he's been with me, which gets me so furious!
Problem was I didn't want to be upset. I wanted to give him a chance and let him into my life.
I wanted to be friends.
Then again if I did that I knew for a fact that all it would lead me to is trouble.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Here I was, making my way to his room.
Ugh why couldn't Martha or Fran come up? Why did it have to be me?
"Please don't be in there." I plead as I stand in front of his room with a basket of clean laundry.
Taking a deep breath I knock on the door twice.
No answer.
Thank you Jesus!
I quietly open the door and place the basket on his bed.
As I began to quickly walk towards the door a noise startles me. I jump.
Slowly turning around I find the one and only Elias Richardson with his all too familiar smirk on his face.
Dang it!
His hair was wet in an attractive way, like he had just got out the shower. He wore a plain white t-shirt that made his strong muscular arms stand out, and his boxers.
I roll my eyes and continue my way out.
"Wait!" he calls out. "What!?" I snap.
"Stop being mad at me." He demands.
"I have every right to be! First you invite me out, we have an amazing time, then you ruin it by denying you were with me as if you were ashamed of me!" I call out angrily.
I have to say, it was really good letting all that out.
"Sorry?" he mumbles as if it was no big deal.
Unbelievable!
How could he take this so easy. I'm telling you he was so cold-hearted, and emotionless!
"I'm out." I simply said giving up on all the hope I had on giving him a chance to be on good terms with me.
I begin to walk away once again, but his arm wraps around my waist stopping me in my tracks.
I gasp. He turns me around so I could face him.
"Look I'm sorry. Just bare with me. I don't want you out!" he confesses frustrated making my face soften.
"Forgive me?" he adds in almost a plead.
And I swore I could see deep down in those caramel eyes that he meant what he said. I sigh.
I couldn't stay mad, he had a way of making me melt every time his caramel eyes met my green ones.
He had a way of making my heart thump so fast that I thought it would fly out my chest.
He had a way of making me weak inside, so I had no other choice but to surrender.
I just met him for the love of God! How is this possible?
"Fine." I reply accepting his apology. His face lights up.
"Bye." I wave and rush out leaving a cheerful Elias.
I wasn't mad at him no longer. I was mad at myself.
I was upset that I knew I would let Elias into my life even though I knew that was the most dangerous decision I could ever make.
I was falling for him, I was falling for Elias Richardson.
Oh dear. This can't be, I can't fall for him.
I can't feel this way for a guy like that!
The only thing left to do was disguise my feelings, he couldn't know how I felt.
Never.
And I mean never!
