Want to be my friend?

We met on a sunny day.
Everyone crowded us.
But we were the only ones who could see each other.
We made eye contact.
But I turned my head away.
Refusing to ever make friends,
I walked away,
leaving the one opportunity I had.
The next day,
we were forced to be together.
I sat down on a bench.
He sat next to me.
We both sat in silence.
'I don't like this.'
"Why don't you have friends?" He asked.
"I don't want any."
'Because I can't trust anybody.
After what they did to me.'
He read my mind.
"Trust me."
I chuckled.
"Why should I?"
"Because I won't abandon you."
My heart started opening up.
Just a tiny amount.
"I won't give up on you."
More opened up.
"I'll stay by your side, no matter what."
Tears slowly welled up my eyes.
"And that's what a true friend does."
So sincere.
He stood up
and kneeled down to my level.
He held out a hand for me.
And he smiled.
"So want to be my friend?"

When I wanted to die,

"Live. For me. For yourself." You told me.
For you,
I will live.
With the memories,

With the happiness,
With the sadness
you gave me.
Hand in hand,
We went to the real world,
as true friends.

I kinda did badly this time. I wanted friendship poems but they didn't sound as meaningful as my Love poems. If you guys want more love poems, tell me, okay?
