Tam wasn't used to attention.
Nobody cared too much about the angsty emo kid who usually just lurked sullenly in the background. If anything, he was the twin brother of the Foxfire swim team's captain. That was pretty much it for his reputation.
So why did nearly every head turn to stare when he walked into Foxfire the next day? Giggles and murmurs swept through the hallways, and furtive glances followed him as he walked tentatively towards his first class. Tam whipped around, making sure there wasn't some popular kid following him who everyone was whispering about. Was there something in his hair? Self-consciously, he brushed his silver tipped bangs in front of his eyes.
A tall kid who looked to be a junior- and definitely one of the annoying football jocks -gave an appreciative whistle as Tam passed. "Nice one, Bangs Boy! I'm sure Biana loves you now!"
Bangs Boy?! Biana?! Tam tried to hide his surprise, walking faster to avoid the snickers. Was that Keefe? He'd heard about that guy. Ice blue eyes. Obnoxious blonde hair. Captain of Foxfire's football team and apparently dating Sophie Foster, Biana's best friend. So what did he have to do with Tam?
Another boy hurried up to Tam, glancing around like he was scared to talk. This kid was much shorter, with strawberry blonde hair and wide periwinkle eyes- maybe a freshman or sophomore. "Hey... I'm so sorry about the video. That must be awful, huh?"
Tam stepped back. What video?
The boy shrugged. "My name's Dex. Find me if you need anything. These next few days might be a little rough and I don't think these guys will help much." He waved towards the crowd of jocks, where Biana's older brother, Fitz, and Keefe were still laughing. Then he rushed off.
Tam pushed his way through the crowd into the bathroom and pulled out his phone. He navigated to Google and searched for his name, Tam Song.
Multiple videos appeared- reaction compilations, memes and edits of the same videos. He found the video with the most views- almost a million? -that was presumably the original one, and clicked on it.
