"Would you mind...if I study you?"

As soon as those words left Albedo's lips, your mind started racing. What kind of question is that? You thought as your eyes slowly moved across the room, trying your hardest not to look him in the eye. He on the other hand, stared at you, awaiting your answer.
"I want to make a painting of you, but I need to take a closer look at your face to capture every detail." he added.
"Uh..." You responded eloquently.
"Yes, of course you can, but why are you painting me?"

You ask, flustered by the thought of your face beign part of one of his incredible artworks.
He chuckled. "Well, what better way to capture a beautiful face than with color."

Your cheeks went slightly red, and you lowered your head, trying to hide your growing blush. It wasn't often people complimented your appearance, and you weren't quite used to it. However, when it came from Albedo, you knew that he means what he says.

"Well then, I will start examining your face, if you're alright with that."
He said, making his way towards you.
You grew a little nervous as he stopped in front of you, your faces were so close!
But you had already agreed, there was no point backing out now.
So, you nodded, not taking your eyes off him.
He took your chin between his thumb and index finger, raising your head up. The light from the window reflected in his eyes, causing them to appear even brighter.

His hair was illuminated by the sunlight coming in from outside, giving him an angelic look.
His fingers carefully traced the contours of your face before coming to rest against your cheek. You felt goosebumps running across your skin.
You couldn't help but stare into his eyes as he studied you.  His expression looked calm and collected, but deep inside, you could see the emotions swirling around his heart.

"How did you get such a gorgeous face?" he asked quietly, his voice filled with wonder.
You swallowed thickly, unable to speak.
"What do you mean?" you finally managed to say.
"This beauty cannot be achieved through mere painting. It takes years and years of hard work. A masterpiece would have been more fitting." he mused.
The butterflies that seemed to have appeared in your stomach during this whole conversation began to grow. Your chest tightened as he spoke in such a soft tone.

But it was impossible for him to actually feel that way, right?
Right...?

"Is everything alright?" he asked as he noticed the way your breath quickened.
You snapped back to reality, nodding quickly. He released his hold on your chin and backed away slightly.
"Are you sure? I wouldn't want you to feel uncomfortable."
Your mouth opened, but nothing came out. It was too much for your brain to comprehend, and your thoughts scattered all over the place.
"No!" you exclaimed as a response to his statement. "I'm fine!"

It sounded weak even to your own ears, and you cringed inwardly, hating yourself for letting it slip like that.
After a few seconds spent just staring at each other, Albedo broke the silence. "Alright," he said, smiling softly, "Don't hesitate to tell me if you're not feeling well."
With that, he took the notes he wrote down from studying you and began working on his painting.

Once again, you watched his movements. How graceful they were.
How confident they seemed.
And how beautiful his eyes were, he looked so handsome when he was focused on something....
You didn't know what it was exactly, that made you feel all giddy whenever he spoke or looked at you. Or perhaps you did know, but simply chose to ignore that fact. Either way, it didn't really matter. Because whenever you tried to focus on something else, you found your attention being drawn back to him like magnets attracted to metal. That was why it was extremely unusual for you to feel so relaxed around him. At least, until now.

You continued watching him work, mesmerized. When he finally put down his paintbrush and got to his feet, seemingly satisfied with his work.
You looked at the painting, amazed of how detailed it was. It captured you perfectly, yet you couldn't help but wonder if this person in the painting was really you.
It just looked so perfect...you really look like that in his eyes?

A blush crept upon your cheeks at the thought. You looked away, hoping Albedo hadn't noticed.
He must have, judging by the chuckle that escaped him.
"It's very good." you whispered.
His lips curled upwards as he walked up next to you and took your hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Of course it is, darling."
You couldn't help but smile.
The two of you stood there, admiring the piece in silence. And while you admired his artwork, you also observed his reactions to it. You'd notice his reaction when his eyes met yours.

Then he smiled. And you swear you've seen stars in his irises. You never thought it would be possible, but when you look at his work, you believed that that maybe, just maybe, he actually does feel the same for you.
"Thank you, Albedo." you spoke after a couple minutes of admiring the painting.
"For what?"
"For painting me."
The corner of his lips turned upward, revealing a small smile.
"You are welcome, dear. Though, I should really be thanking you. You inspired this painting, afterall."

"I guess it's true. You really are a great artist."
You said, smiling shyly as you gave his hand a slight squeeze in return.
He glanced down at your intertwined fingers before looking back up at you. You didn't break the gaze, neither did he. There was only peace in the atmosphere. And for the first time in awhile, you felt truly safe and content. You never wanted to let go.

Albedo suddenly squeezed your hand a bit tighter.
And that was enough for you to snap back to reality. Embarrassment washed over you, as you pulled your hand away. Before you could apologize, however, Albedo had taken your wrist and placed a kiss on your palm.
Your mind reeled from his sudden action. Your face heated up, and you felt your heart skip a beat at the sensation.
Your eyes widened as you realized what he had done, but then he leaned forward once more, pulling you into a soft kiss....

And the rest is up to your imagination.
Sorry, I just didn't want to write anymore and I didn't want to make this too long either so...
