"He what?" Tommy said, heart pounding. Niki's denamour dropped a little as she caught onto his distress.

"He told all of us where you were." Niki shifted. "If you're not okay with me being here..."

"No!" Tommy grabbed her arm before she could turn to leave. She was a familiar face, one that was never tainted in the war and the only one he could ever trust. "No. I just- who do you mean by all of us?"

Niki looked unsure. "Uh... Me, Fundy, George, a couple of the new faces you wouldn't know, maybe Sapnap and Purpled." She paused, watching in concern as he ran over her list a few times in his head. "And I, um, I think he may have been on his way to tell Wilbur when he left me."

Tommy went cold. Wilbur knew he was here. Wilbur knew he was here. In Esempi. In his old hotel. Tommy grabbed Niki by her shoulder and pulled her into the room, slamming the door behind them. Niki yelped in protest, but Tommy was too preoccupied trying to calm himself down so he didn't break down in front of his son. His son, who was dying, who he'd taken to this hotel, the hotel Wilbur knew he was at.

This situation was not very ideal.

"Are you okay?" Niki asked, reaching out a soothing hand to pat his back. Tommy shut his eyes and leaned into her touch. He hadn't talked to this woman in years, and yet she still had the same calming effect she'd always had on him.

"I haven't been okay for years, Niki." Tommy wheezed. He allowed himself a second of reprieve in her arms, before straightening up and shaking himself off. He was 23 now. He could deal with the ghosts of his past, even if they showed up solid and were completely capable of harming him.

Niki didn't say anything to that, staring past him to the bed. Tommy followed her gaze to Isaac, who was watching them in confusion. "Is that..."

Tommy swallowed, walking over to sit next to his son. "That's Isaac." He said. Niki walked over to him, sitting on the edge of the bed. Isaac watched her with wide eyes. "My son."

"You're what!?" Niki spluttered, head whipping around at breakneck speed. "Tommy... What on earth did you get up to while you were gone?"

And Tommy started explaining.
