Chapter 29

(The gang house they are in)⬆️

Tino wanted us to split into 3 groups but me and Xavier didn't agree because we were only three people and we couldn't handle our own groups and they could do something stupid, seeing that all of them are reckless.

We stuck in one group, we told them to warm up, which included them to run for 2 miles and someone of them looked like they could shit their pants right this second, I was about to laugh looking at their faces but Xavier held me back by making me quite, giving my hand a gentle squeeze to shut up. I just huffed and he looked amused at my behavior.

I don't think anyone noticed my behavior change other than Xavier and Tino so I didn't mind anything, all of them wear either warming up or in shock that they had to run 2 miles. It was not even half of what everyone runs, so they had to do this so we could see how their staminas are.

I didn't want to run today, so I sat down next to Xavier and Tino so all of them could complete it and can come back. The ganghouse was quite big and one whole round of the gang house will complete 2 miles.

"You should start the trail in 5 mins, you should take the farthest trail there is so you will finish the 2 miles, you will be watched, if you take any shortcuts you will be running again." Xavier told everyone in his usual stone cold voice.

Everyone nodded their heads in fear, "how come that bitch is sitting next to you? Isn't she supposed to run with us or is she your whore and gets some kind of shitty advantage?" One of the bitches from earlier asked.

I could see that both Xavier and Tino were angry and they were ready to slit her throat apart. I threw my knife at her which was intended to miss, she looked scared, "you talk to everyone here in respect, if you don't then you will be in a cell for your whole life, am I clear?" I spoke with a glare and a voice of command which sent shivers on everyone's body.

"If anyone of you do get selected then only then you will know why you are here and who you will be working for, this is just selection and I can very well see that none of you will be here. So get your asses up and start running if you don't want to be dead in seconds", I continued. Everyone started running because of fear.

"Idiots, every single one over there" i muttered to myself. Tino went in to look at the cameras to see if everyone was running in the trail that we ordered, and so it was only me and Xavier.

"You know, I think you should have killed that girl" Xav told I just smirked at him and told, "you know I was planning to do that, but I kind of liked her being scared of me" he chuckled at me and sat down on the grass and patted a spot next to him indicating me to sit down next to him.

"You know, there was actually no training, all of us discussed a plan to make you come down and help us in recruiting, us asking you directly you would have told no and we needed your help here" he said and looked kind of guilty that they tricked me to coming here. I glared at him and told him to continue, "they told me to be next to you so you don't kill any of the recruits and told me to calm you down, I had work and your dad told that he and Enzo will handle it and they told me to handle you" he said. I chuckled at my family, "you know they could have just asked me and I would have agreed, I love working for my family even though I hate this part".

"You really amuse me sometimes princess" he told me making his voice huskier which sent shivers through my spine. He smirked at me knowing how I react towards him. I got bored and layed down on the grass completely while Xavier was looking at everything I do.

"Ready for the date tomorrow princess?" He asked me with a hope in his eyes. "More than ready" I replied to him with a smile. "What should I wear?" I asked him, "wear something you are comfortable in and not pajamas" he said knowing very well I was about to ask him that. I nodded my head.

After some time everyone came back and they looked tired as hell. God how did they get so tired. Not all but some of them. All of them sat down for water and relaxed a bit. Tino came down and told us that everyone ran in the trail that we told them to. Wow nice improvement.

"Follow us, you will be tested on how you fight hand to hand combat, how you shoot and if you can handle to use a knife if necessary" Xavier told them. We showed them movies on hand to hand combat, Tino was enjoying making Xavier and me fight while he was playing referee. I rolled my eyes at my brother.

"I know why you are not fighting him you know" I told my brother looking at the people trying to copy our moves. "I don't mind fighting him but I like how soft he is with you, if that bastard fights with me he would have broken some part of my body" he told me with a serious look. I just laughed at my brother. "The best warrior is scared of breaking some bones, nice" I told him.

We taught them the basics of how to use a gun and how to throw a knife, few people were really good. We choose 3 boys and 2 girls from the group for further training. They will be staying in the gang house and any one of the old members will be with them so they dont cheat or do anything, they will earn our trust if they don't want bodyguards to be surrounded by them.

After telling the 5 of them their rules, we went to the car and started driving to our home, Xavier was tagging along with us grumbling about how much paperwork he had. I chuckled at his childishness and kind of felt guilty that he was here because of me.
