I WASN'T EXPECTING Ellora to agree with me. We barely know each other and yet, without hesitation, she just... agreed with me. But since that afternoon, we haven't seen each other.

"Sorin, I'm telling you that this girl is different so please, consider marrying her." ani Lolo habang nasa hapag kainan kami.

I saw my mother rolled her eyes. Si Dad ay napailing naman while my sisters remain quiet. Kadalasan ay ganito ang eksena kapag narito at kasabay namin sa hapag ang Lolo.

"I'm seeing a girl." at lahat ay napatingin sa akin. It's partly true. Though we've only met three times. Masusundan pa naman iyon — iyon ay kung hindi niya ako pagtataguan na pakiramdam ko ay gagawin niya.

"Study first." ani Ate Skye.

"Bawal pa, Sean. Ako muna ang makikipag date bago ikaw." reklamo naman ni Ate Cerys.

Nginisihan ko siya. "Then ask Dr. Ivanno already." I teased.

"Hindi bale nalang pala." anito at muling ipinagpatuloy ang pagkain kahit na namumula ang mukha.

Si Mommy ay nakataas ang isang kilay habang nakatingin sa akin as if asking if it is true. I gave her a shrugged. Ellora and I were not dating. It's just... I don't know. I can't explain it.

"Then stop seeing that girl. You have to meet the heiress of the Ty. I am telling you, she's really different." ani Lolo na tila hindi man lamang naapektuhan sa sinabi ko.

"Dad, Sean's still studying. Marriage can wait." pagsingit ni Dad. Tinanguan niya lang ako nang makitang tapos na akong kumain.

Mabilis akong tumayo at nagpaalam. "I'll go ahead. Bibisitahin ko lang ang mga bagong panganak na kabayo."

"We're not done, yet!"

I ignore him and just kissed his head. "Later." but that later could mean another 'later'.

That afternoon after visiting the stables, Dad told me about our business. He wants me to train in Beijing — kung saan naroon ang pinakamalaking business ng mga Kho.

"I'll send Ellora to guide you. I already told her about this so I hope you get along just fine."

Of course we will. Gusto kong isagot pero pinili kong manahimik na lamang. Sa halip, isang tango lang ang ginawa ko. Dalawang buwan lang naman iyon. I still need to go back here in the Philippines for my last year in college.

Kung hindi lamang sa pakiusap ni Mommy at sa kagustuhan kong makalayo kay Lolo ay hindi ako papayag sa set-up na iyon. But now that Ellora is involve, I will gladly accept this without a second thought.
