The aftermath

End This

It was the last day of fifth year.
It was four at the morning, they both couldn't sleep.
They slowly approached each other.
"Can we talk?" Sirius asked Remus.
"Can we talk?" Remus asked Sirius.
"Oh, of course." Each answered to the other.
They chuckled quietly, not wanting to wake up the James and Peter.
"Let's do this in the common room." Remus offered.
"Yeah, sure." Sirius smiled at Remus.
They went down to the common room and set in front of each other.
"Padfoot. After I talked to all of our friends and took their advises and also had some time to think about what happened. I decided we need to end this." The only source of light was the fireplace, a big shadow was casted on Remus's face. Sirius couldn't understand Remus's expression but he thought the way Remus looked under the fire light was beautiful.
"What do you mean by end this?" The dark haired boy asked, he felt a pain in his chest and his lunges getting empty
"To end this game of ignoring each other." Sirius breathed again to the sound of Remus's words.
"Sirius. I love you and I need you in my life but please do not be so reckless with my heart."
"Moony of course I won't. I learned my lesson and I suffered any second without you."
Remus smiled a genuine smile at Sirius and Sirius gave back a smirk.
"Are they all really mad at me." "—Not even close. They were mad but I spent the last week asking all of them how they feel about you and they all said the same thing."
"What did they say?"
"They said; Remus, when you are ready to forgive Sirius it means he is really worth forgiving. So when you want to forgive him, we will have no problem to forgive him, just let us know."
"Even Lily?" Sirius asked optimistically like a child. "Lily can't wait to talk with you and gossip about all of us, but especially to tell you about every embarrassing thing James says and does." Remus chuckled. Their faces slowly became closer and closer and their noses touching, the passion was burning in them. "Remus John Lupin. I love you. And no matter if you will stop loving me, even if you will love and marry someone that isn't me, even if you will lose any trust in me. I will always love you My Moony." Remus chuckled at Sirius's sweet words, Sirius returned with little laughter. He grabbed Remus pulled the boy closer to him, foreheads touching. Remus placed his hands on Sirius neck and lowered his head to look directly at Sirius's eyes. Slowly but surely they let their lips touch and after the first touch was and second and the second led to a third the third led to more.
It was about 7 am when someone entered the common room. Luckily it was the early riser, quidditch captain and their biggest shipper and friend, James Potter.  Sirius was still deep in his but Remus was woken up by James steps.
"So you two are ok again?" He asked Remus concerned.  Remus looked at Sirius and thought about how beautiful he is and then looked back at James. "Yes. We are. Can he miss quidditch practice this morning? We both couldn't sleep and after we worked thing out, well.. he didn't get a lot of sleep." Remus said with a sleepy smile. James smirked at his his sleeping friends. "Sure. Want me to carry him to our dorm room so when everybody comes down to the room you to won't wake up?"
"It would be great James, thank you."

It was nine fifth teen when Sirius and Remus woke up. Luckily the day started late so that students would be able to finish packing before this year's ending ceremony. Surprisingly Sirius finished packing two days before the leaving day, having all of his friends mad at him gave him a lot of time to do  things and being productive un like usual. He opened his eyes and saw a light haired boy next to him, quickly he understood they were holding each other. Remus opened his eyes as well and smiled at Sirius. "Good morning Moonpie." Sirius yawned while speaking. "Good morning Paddy."  Remus giggled at his own words.
And just like that a great day started.

The day wasn't full of monologues. It was just everyone happy together. Sirius was greatful he got to have his pack again. Him and Mary laughing together and Marlene sharing a cigarette with him, Lily gossiped with him about everything and everyone. And him and Remus hiding in empty classes, sneaking kisses when no one is watching, flirting without Remus even understanding it.

Unfortunately it didn't last forever and those moments slipped away from their arms.
A few years from those moment Marlene fell in battle, Mary married with no love, Lily and James died protecting Harry, Sirius got into Azkaban for trying to avenge the death of his friends and Remus became depressed and empty.

I wish it could have gone differently, but it didn't.
