After All This Time, Truth Revealed(Harry Potter, New Generation AU)(Part One)

A/n: Y/n was pregnant, Mattheo didn't know. Then Y/n and Mattheo broke up because his father made them but she didn't know that. So, when the battle is done, and Mattheo is free, he sets his reputation straight. While he is walking home from work at the ministry, Y/n and him meet on the street along with their daughter. Let's see how this will go.

Mattheo POV  

I just got done at work. I work at the ministry. Head of the department of magical law enforcement as head of the aurors. I also help in other departments when needed. So, I was walking down the street when I saw a woman with a little girl. I freeze in my spot, watching the woman smile as her daughter. That smile. I remember it so well. It still helps me sleep at night. It may sound creepy but that woman looks like my first and only love.

Flashback

I sat in the common room. Just then, Y/n came running in with a huge smile on her face. She jumps on the couch next to me. Y/n laughs and kisses me. I kiss back and pull her into my lap. She straddles me and pulls away only to bury her head into my neck.

"I love you, Y/n." I told her.

"I love you too, Theo." She mumbles into my neck. I smile and hold her closer.

Flash forward

I loved her with all my heart. I still do. After I recalled the memory, I subconsciously started to walk over to the woman and her little girl. The woman is definitely Y/n but I don't know who the little girl is.

Timeskip a few minutes

Y/n POV

Me and Sky, my four year old daughter, were window shopping in downtown London. We stopped by 'Oddities and Mysterious Items', a store with many different things that can be used for decoration or magic. Luna, a good friend of mine from Hogwarts works here.(I don't know what Luna did after Hogwarts but for this oneshot, she got a job at this store) But as me and Sky were walking there, I felt someone staring at me. I just happened to glance back and see a man that looked like Mattheo Riddle. My first love. I still love him but I love Sky as well. She is my top priority. I am a writer for the daily profit. Not much but it does pay the bills. It also helps considering I will always have a backup home at the Weasley's and at the Malfoy's. Draco was the second person to help me at Hogwarts and we became good friends. And the Weasleys are family friends. Molly is always available to watch Sky if I have to make an errand run and Narcissa adores Sky. My life is ok. I'm still missing that 'love' and 'romance' piece but that's ok for now.

Anyway, when me and Sky got out of the shop, we started walking again. That was, until, I felt a tap on my shoulder. But when I turned around, I saw someone who I did not expect to see ever again.

Mattheo Riddle. My ex boyfriend. The love of my life. The guy I can't get over. All of the above.

"Yes? Can I he-" I cut myself off when I was fully faving him and staring at his face. He has barely changed. He was wearing Ministry attire/suit. He looked good. Hot even. Oh, no. I'm becoming attached again.

"Excuse me. Sorry to bother you but, are you-" He started but I shook my head.

"Y/n. Yeah, it's me. Hi Mattheo." I replied.

"Wow, you look...amazing." He replies. I smirk but then his gaze travels down to Sky, who is still hanging on to my hand and staring confusedly at Mattheo.

"Who is that?" He asked me. I sigh and lean down so I'm face to face with Sky.

"Honey, why don't you go back into the shop and get some candy or something you wanted. Remember my friend? Yeah? She'll help you find something. Just tell her that I had to talk to 'him', and make those finger signs, I taught you. Ok? I have to have a word with this man alone. Alright?" I ask her and she nods, takes the money from my hand and goes into the store. I watch as the door closes behind her and then It run back to Mattheo.

"What do you want, Mattheo?" I ask with a hint of annoyance. He sighs and looks me in the eye.

"Who is that girl? Is she your daughter?" He asks.

"Yes. She's my daughter. Why do you even care? I have my life and you have yours. So, why are you bothering me." I asked him.

"I have two things to say. One, I never told you why I broke up with you. Do you want to know?" He asked me.

"Yes. I want to know." I told him.

"My father made me. He said that if I didn't, he would kill you and I couldn't let that happen." He tells me, guilt written all over his face.

"Wait, so, you didn't even try to fight back? I mean, we would have fought back together. We did everything together so why didn't you fight back?" I ask, getting angry.

"How could I? He would just kill me. I'm his son but he would still kill me. I did it to protect you! I WILL ALWAYS PROTECT YOU!" I shouts at me a little.

"I CAN PROTECT MYSELF! I DON'T NEED YOU TO PROTECT ME! I JUST WANTED TO BE WITH YOU BUT YOU CUT ME OUT OF YOUR LIFE WITH NO EXPLANATION! NOW YOU AHVE ONE BUT IT'S A STUPID ONE! SO WHO ARE YOU TO DO-" I shout back but am cut off when, out of nowhere, he kisses me. I kiss back without thinking. When we pull back I am shocked.

"Ok. That just happened. But, do you still love me?" I ask out of the blue.

"Yes. I still love you with all my heart." Theo answers me.

"I still love you too, Theo." I replied with a smile.

"I was hoping you'd say that." He said to me with a smile.

"What was the second thing?" I ask.

"Oh, that. Yeah. Your daughter, who is her father?" He asks.

"Do you really have to ask? Because I think you know that answer already." I say with a smirk.

"She's mine?" He asks with hope. I nod. He then pulls me into a long hug.

Timeskip

We continued to talk until Sky came out holding Luna's hand. I gave Luna a side hug and thanked her. I took Sky's hand and led her over to Mattheo.

"Sky. I want to introduce you to someone that you've been waiting to see for a long time. This is your father. This is your dad." I let her hand go after I said that. She walked over to Mattheo as he crouched down to her height. Sky touched his face. Then a smile came to her face and she threw her arms around Mattheo. He looked shocked but hugged back. He looked at me while they hugged and I smiled at him.
