The team leaves the airport building and heads into the big parking lot. It is full of taxis. The team gets in line to get in one.
Shiro: Alright team, we're gonna catch a taxi to the rental car place and from there I'll drive us to the hotel.
All: Okay!!
They finally get to the front of the line and two taxis come to pick them up.
Keith gets in the front seat of the first one, while Coran, Hunk, and Lance get in the back.
Shiro gets in the front seat of the second one while the girls get in the back.
The taxis start driving.
The inside of the second one is kind of stuffy.
Pidge leans against Allura in the back seat.
Romelle tries to roll down the window.
Allura in a hushed tone: Stop that Romelle!
Romelle a little too loudly: Why? It's stuffy in here!
The cab driver either doesn't hear, or doesn't care.
Allura: I know, but you just have to deal with it ok? We won't be in here for long.
Romelle: Ok.
Meanwhile in the first taxi...
Coran: Well, I just got to say Earth travel is very tiring.
Lance: You can say that again. I know landing the lions here probably wouldn't have worked even if we hadn't wanted you guys to have a meaningful experience, but that still would have been SO. MUCH. EASIER.
Lance slumps back in the seat.
Hunk: (Snores)
Lance: Looks like Hunk is already asleep.
Keith: Seriously?
Hunk: (Snores even louder)
Keith: Oh good god.

Twenty minutes later the taxis arrive at the rental car place.
The team gets out of the taxis and head to the front desk.
Keith starts talking with the man behind the desk while the others wait.
The man says he can't find their appointment.
Keith: What?
Worker: We don't see anything under your name in here.
Keith: How is that possible?
Keith checks the info again.
Keith: Oh damn!!
Shiro: What is it Keith?
Keith: Ugh this is the wrong rental company!!
Shiro: Seriously?
Keith: Yeah, we were supposed to go to Hertz.
Shiro: Oh! We got mixed up.
They tell the worker that they made a mistake and leave.
Shiro calls a Lyft.
Pidge: Don't you have to call two? Do you want me to call us a taxi?
She gestures at the girls.
Shiro: That won't be necessary. I called an SUV. Seats seven. You will just have to share a seat with someone because you're the smallest.
Pidge: Okaaaaaay...
Pidge to Allura: I don't think that's safe.
Allura: It's fine Pidge, we won't be driving for long.
Pidge: Ok.
They wait for the SUV.
When it arrives, Shiro gets in the front seat.
Coran, Hunk, and Romelle get in the middle.
Allura: Come on Pidge!
She heaves Pidge up into the seat next to Romelle.
Pidge bundles up next to Romelle and puts her backpack in her lap.
Lance, Allura and Keith get in the back.
They sit in silence.
A few minutes later they arrive.
They get out of the SUV. Shiro pays the driver and they walk into the building.
The room is brightly lit and there's a long line of desks.
Keith walks up to one and starts talking to someone.
Keith: Reservation for Kogane?
The rest of the team mingles in the lobby.
A bit later Keith comes over and hands a key to Shiro.
A man walks over to show them the way. They follow him and he leads them to the parking garage.
They walk up a couple stories and he leads them over to a big silver SUV.
Romelle: *Gasp*
Romelle: It's PERFECT! I mean, not as great as our cars, but still!
They thank the man and get in the car. Shiro turns it on and drives out of the lot.
Shiro and Keith sit in the front, Coran, Hunk, and Romelle sit in the middle, and Lance, Allura, and Pidge get in the back.
They head out of the parking garage and start driving to the hotel.
Allura: Only an hour to get to the hotel!
All: WHAT?!

Shiro looks around the car.
Keith is sitting with his earbuds in and his eyes closed.
Coran is dozing.
Hunk is snoring. LOUDLY.
Romelle is eating airplane peanuts.
Pidge is sleeping in the back, leaned against the little back window.
Lance and Allura are snuggled up in the back, but not asleep. They are taking to each other in soft voices.
Shiro's thoughts: "Everyone is asleep. Keith is ignoring me. Lance and Allura are in their own world where only each other exist. I want someone to talk to."
Shiro's thoughts: "Oh well. Focus on the road Shiro. You can nap at the hotel. Focus on the road. Focus on the road. We'll be there sooner or later."
