In which Sun's time in the Snake Pit continues, and while Silver Eye works to help contain the animatronic's darker half, he also has to contain the truth of the Snake Pit's nature while simultaneously having to keep Sun himself hidden from Ashtem's all-seeing eyes. (Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach crossover. Takes place after the V.I.P. Ending.)

"Silver Eye, we have to talk about something," I whisper to him as we stand in line for lunch, and I can sense him giving me a nervous look under his mask. "You know the drill- camera C1's and camera C2's blindspots."

He nods, glancing over at the others cautiously before whispering back, "Is it about the DA?"

"'Fraid so. And it's bad."

We get our lunch- the usual slop of grains with a side of corn and a slice of bread- then head to one of the few tables situated in a couple of the cameras' blindspots. The other Masked Bladers see us sit down there and immediately grow worried, but they know better than to butt in.

"Alright, give it to me straight," Silver tells me, drawing my attention back to him. "What's wrong? Is Ashtem suspecting me?"

"No. It's what Sun said last night- about being afraid of the dark."

He presses his lips together and silently urges me to go on.

"He was lying to you, Silver. And I could tell, so I decided I'd face him head on about it and I went to talk to him this morning."

"Did he tell you the truth?"

"Yes. And the truth is... A lot. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, but I am gonna take it slow." He nods in understanding, and I take a deep breath. "First things first, you need to know that there are actually two daycare attendant AIs in a single body. One is Sun, the other is called Moon."

"That explains the toggle we saw in his files," Silver murmurs, bringing a hand to cover his mouth as he thinks. "Then is the choice of who controls the body determined by the lighting?"

"Yes. Sun can only activate when the lights are on, and Moon can only activate when the lights are off. Sun did say that one can force the other to share control by "eclipsing" him, but he said that it's hard to do."

"So, Sun isn't afraid of the dark, he's afraid of Moon." He moves his hand and turns to me, questioning in an uneasy voice, "Why? What's wrong with him?"

"Long story short, he's gone nuts. Something's screwed up his security programming and it's making him attack people regardless of whether or not they're a threat. And whatever it is that's wrong also has the ability to keep Sun from eclipsing Moon to stop his rampages."

"Son of a bitch," Silver swears, putting his face in his hands. "And I brought that here."

I bite my lip and turn my head away, feeling guilty as I mumble to him, "I told Sun you could help him."

"Wha- but I don't think I can! I have experience working with haywire technology, but nothing like a sentient animatronic, Gold Eye! I'm pretty sure I'd need a Master's Degree to even have an inkling of-"

"If it makes you feel better, Sun was super excited when he heard you've got seven years of experience in this field. He said most of the people he's worked with only had a year or two under their belt at most."
