I just had a head cannon I needed to share real quick. It's short but hear me out.
So, we know Dark Shadow gets weaker the brighter it is and stronger and harder to control. SO, I think Tokoyami sleeps with like, a nightlight but REFUSES to say so because he wants to be real dark. He sleeps with a nightlight so he can sleep and won't be waken up by Dark Shadow all the time. Still happens though.
This is corespondent to a headcannon I saw of Denki. It's where Denki bottles up his energy and will use it as a nightlight and/or will give it to other people.

The UA dorms lost power and it wasn't working at all, no matter what happened. It becomes night and everyone is going to bed. Tokoyami goes to Denki and asks for one of his little bottle of energy and Denki just gives him one.
