Aether's face went red as he looked away.

Xiao was resting in his room still full of emotions from the previous day. He couldn't shake of the feeling he had back then yet he couldn't care less as he had something other to think about.

He heard knocking on his door and fell of off his hammock.

He stood up massaging his arm that he fell on and walked up to the door opening it.

He had a small place for him to sleep up on the roof of Wangshu Inn.

It was Ver Goldet. She had a kind smile on as he looked at him.

"I have a request to make Xiao."

"What is it? Need help with defeating demons? Hilichurls? Shooing away some treasure hoarders?"

He said reaching for his mask. Her hand stopped him and he looked back. A small frown on her face.

"No nothing like that. I just need help delivering food for the soldiers. They ordered a lot and also a few other things. They all sholud be in the boxes at the bottom. Also just deliver them to the guards near the bridge already told them that there's gonna be a delivery."

"Hm..."

He retracted his hand back to his side.

"Sure i can do that i guess..."

He sighed nodding his head in approval.

"Oh and Xiao- don't teleport with the boxes like last time.."

Xiao felt his face redden as he remembered the last time he did that and everything exploded covering him in splinters and dozen of colours.

He cleared his throat looking away nervously.

"Y-yeah.. that isn't gonna be a problem."

"Ah and the traveler is down on the bottom as well. He said he came to see you and i told him you'll come down soon. He'll help you with some of the boxes. Split it however you'd like of course."

Xiao didn't say anything and disappeared making miss Goldet sigh.

He reappeared at the bottom near the boxes and looked around for the traveler. He slowly walked towards the boxes but he heard a shimmering noise. He furrowed his brows as he realized where the two were. Frantic shushing colud have been heard as he rolled his eyes.

Yet he didn't say a word.

He bend down to pick it up and move it over when the blonde jumped out from behind the box butting his forehead against Xiao's.

Aether quickly stood up straight and started massaging his head regretting his actions. He didn't realize Xiao wouldn't have had moved away.

When he looked down he saw Xiao laying flat on the floor with his eyes closed. He approached him but then tripped sending himself to the floor. He looked back at Xiao after sitting up seeing that the yaksha had been holding a piece of string tied to one of the boxes.

"Hey what was that for?!"

He said turning back to look at his face. He hadn't realized the other had sat up and that his face was right next to his.

He froze and so did Xiao. Their breathing slowed down and Paimon broke the silence with her squeaky voice.

"Hey don't forget Paimon's here! You can do your love stuff somewhere else- geez!"

Xiao cleared his throat and stood up looking away as his face heated up more and more.

Aether on the other hand was still frozen from shock. Paimon waved her tiny hand in front of his face and he looked at her before looking back at Xiao. He lifted two of the boxes leaving nothing for him to carry.

Aether observed Xiao's breathing and body movement feeling mesmerized by him. He had no idea what had gotten into him. Xiao looked at Aether his face back to normal but as soon as he saw the traveler staring his gaze went to the floor.

"You alright?"

He mumbled looking into his eyes.

"Ah-um yeah-yeah im good."

"Great.."

"Do i not get a box to carry? She said to split it no?"

"Never heard of such a thing... Let's go."

Aether nodded and stood up finally follow Xiao.

After some time he noticed the sweat gathering on Xiao's forehead and the visible frown.

"Do you need me to take one box from you?"

"No.. no need.."

He replied taking short breaths in between the words. Aether swallowed thickly somewhat liking the sound of his voice. He decided to push it further.

"You sure? You look extremely tired.."

The yaksha eyed him suspiciously before looking back at the path.

"Yeah im.. sure. I don't need help from you Aether."

The way he said his name made him shiver as he gulped down the saliva gathering in his mouth. He stopped having to calm his mind down.

Xiao obviously noticed this and looked back a puzzled look on his face.

"Are you good...?"

His eyes were hazy and half closed as he looked back at him panting softly from the warm sun hitting him. Aether wished that he colud keep this image in mind forever when he remembered something.

"Hold on Xiao don't move please."

"Sure..."

He said closing his eyes for a brief second and opening them up again to see Aether with a camera pointed at him.

A shocked expression showed op on his face as he started confused at the traveler.

Aether chuckled putting the camera away and walking up taking a hold on one of the boxes.

Xiao was about to protest when Aether gave him a sharp look.

Still. He didn't let go and returned the frown.

"Im... hah.. fine Aether. Don't need-your.. hh.. help."

He slurred out the exhaustion getting to him.

Aether shook his head and took the box out of his grasp walking forward leaving a now stunned Xiao.

In reality after hearing Xiao- Aether couldn't help but feel a blush spreading across his face.
