Xiao was battling himself if he sholud or shouldn't go and look for Aether. The man had told him he wolud show him an amazing place just when the sun wolud start setting in the sky.

To be honest Xiao was quite interested in where was he going to take him. He occupied his mind with imagining what he colud expect yet when the sun began setting behind the horizon and the travel had not yet shown up he started worrying.

Did he ditch him? No he wasn't that kind of person was he..?

Suddenly he heard someone calling out his name. Hesitant he waited thinking it might've been a mistake but he heard it again it was for sure Aether calling out to him.

Xiao sighed and disappeared into thin smoke reappearing in front of the travel. When he felt his foot slip his heartbeat increased and he grabbed onto him.

Aether chuckled and moved back a bit before releasing Xiao.

"You idiot don't call me again when you're standing on such a small platform!"

He scolded the blonde who nervously scratched the back of his neck.

"Sorry i didn't think that wolud happen.. now follow me please."

Xiao knew where they were why was he leading him towards the platform in the sky? He shook his head and just kept following him hoping to get his answer soon.

Aether climbed up and helped Xiao up.

When they were at the top Aether turned to him with a smile.

"How do you like it?"

"It's.. nice i suppose. I've never been here at sunset."

"Ah- well i discovered this place and thought you hadn't. Dumb of me of course you have you're over 2000 years.."

"That's fine thank you for the effort though."

"Of course."

They sat down and admired the view until the moon appeared in the night sky and stars shone brighter than ever.

Xiao closed his eyes and leaned back listening to the sounds of the night. Silence... Yes he liked that. The gentle breeze messing up their hair was calming and Xiao found himself starting to drift off to sleep.

He forced his eyes to open and saw Aether admiring him.

His cheeks reddened as he looked away.

"You're still awake?"

"Mhm... I was enjoying the silence not sleeping. I don't sleep cause neither do the demons of this world."

"Hm.. i think you do."

"So? It's not like i can do much about that. My body shuts of forcefully."

"That's called passing out from exhaustion Xiao."

"I'm aware."

Aether sighed before he scooted over to Xiao his hands genetly resting on the sides of his face.

"What..."

"Lay your head in my lap you're gonna have a neck ache if you will sleep like that."

"Hmh.. if you insist."

Xiao removed his hands and moved over laying his head on Aether's lap. He sighed in content and looked up at Aether's amber eyes. They shone brightly staring right at him.

He looked away and felt a hand running through his hair. His gaze lingered on the mountain tops just a bit longer before he closed his eyes his face features relaxing slightly.

"You're safe Xiao. Goodnight."

He heard the travel whisper and a gentle kiss was planted on his forehead.

A slight smile appeared on his face. This in a way reminded him of old times. The gentleness of the travel and the words he spoke.. ah not important.

And with that they both fell asleep with smiles on their faces.
