It was all a blur, through your eyes you could've sworn you saw Ayato but It all went black, and then hours later you felt someone shaking you, and you could hear different voices around 

"(Y/n), (Y/n) please wake up, come back to me my love"

you felt your head pulse, you took In a breath as you then slowly opened your eyes, seeing Ayato, Ei, Ayaka and Thoma, all of them were teary eyed or crying and Ayato had your hand clutched to his lips, but then he looked up and his Lavendar eyes widened as another tear fell, you started to weakly smile, trying to speak but then he wrapped his arms around you, he shook as he held you to him closely, and you could hear he was trying to hold In his cries

tears filled your eyes, you then hugged him back as you started to break down, memories of the fire returned to your mind and you'd missed him so much, "A...Ayato...."

Ayato parted a little, cupping your cheeks as he looked you in the eyes, his eyes were red and slightly puffy with a fatigue in them, you reached up to touch his cheek

"Darling...I... It was horrible"

Ayato touched his forehead against yours, "forgive me...I wasn't there when you needed me..."

you shook your head, "It's not your fault...you were away"

you then started coughing, and Thoma came over to give you some water, you had a few sips as Ayato rubbed your back while you then looked around, you realized, you were In your old room at the Palace, but then you started to turn pale as you remembered 

"Akio, Is Akio alright, where is he, I was holding him when It happened and I...."

Ayato held your shoulders, "Calm down love he's safe, he's just fine, please don't worry"

you let out a sigh of relief, you placed a hand to your heart "and....Keiko?"

"She survived, but the beam that fell on her It broke her back," said Ei

Ei came over to your side, she touched your shoulder "but some of the household servants didn't make It, I'm very sorry"

Ei then brought you into her arms, "when I heard what happened, I feared the worst, for you and my grandson, thank goodness you're all safe...."

you teared up again, hugging her as she rubbed your back while a few tears fell from your eyes, Ayaka wiped her tears and Thoma comforted her, after you calmed down again Ei stood up 

"Everyone, let's give her some more time to rest, Ayato you're welcomed to stay"

Ayato gave a nod, Ei then left the room with everyone else, now leaving you and Ayato alone

you sat up more, and Ayato came to sit down at your side as you embraced once more

"darling, how did you get back" you asked 

Ayato rested his cheek atop your head, "It's quite the story actually, the young samurai Kazuha was In Sumeru too, along with his pirate friends, the captain was a woman from Liyue named Beidou and Kazuha vouched for me, so she sailed me back here during the night, and upon coming back home I was told the news of what was happening"

you nodded, "oh, I see"

he kissed your forehead, "when I returned to the estate it was still on fire, I feared you and Akio were still inside so I went in to have a look, you were on the floor as you held Akio and I rushed in just at the right moment, it scared me to death...all of It, I thought I'd lost you both"

you turned, cupping his cheek as tears fell from his Lavendar eyes, you touched your cheek against his ask you hugged him, the memories flashing in your mind again
