Return of Scaramouche Chap.52

A Day later....

It had been storming, currently you and Ayato were away visiting the Kujou Estate, and so Ei was watching Akio for you, she adored Akio very much and was excited for her second grandchild, Ei held Akio as she told him many stories of Old Inazuma, but they were of the peaceful times 

"In those days, your great aunt was still around and Inazuma was thriving"

Akio looked up at her with wonder, his Lavendar eyes were somewhat glittering as he listened though too young to understand really, he then smiled at her with his two little teeth 

Ei smiled, "did you like the story, shall I tell you another one my dear"

Akio clapped his hands, but then Akio wondered from her lap and got up as he went to go play with his toys, Ei let out a sigh guessing not, so she followed as she went to play with him a bit 

just then a roll of thunder sounded, and Akio started to cry, Ei picked him up as she soothed him 

"It's alright, grandmother is here"

she rubbed his back, just then she felt a familiar Prescence and held Akio tighter, before she walked through the palace and called for Hana to come, and she left Akio with her as she rushed outside of the palace, and then she leapt up and up to the top of the palace roof looking out at the city, just as she summoned her polearm and spun it as she surveyed the terrain 

just as her eyes caught someone walking towards the palace gates, they attacked the guards and made their way to the bottom of the stairs, Ei's eyes glowed purple and she transported herself down there coming face to face with HIM

he lifted his hat to reveal his face, his hair now short and he wore the garments of Inazuma even though he'd long left, and after all this time of course he looked just the same, except now his eyes weren't empty or filled with curiosity, but instead they were filled with Malice 

"Well, Well, it's been a longtime"

a crack of lightening went through the sky, with swift movements Ei held the end of her polearm beside his neck, and her eyes glowed purple "get out of my city, Kunikuzushi"

his eyes widened; he then clenched his fist "I go by Scaramouche now"

"It matters not what you're called, leave now"

he chuckled and pushed the blade away from his neck, "I came back, because I heard I have a sister, whom you married off to the noblest Clan here"

Ei walked closer to him, "I know why you're here, and I won't let you hurt her or her family ever again"

Scaramouche raised a brow, "Excuse me?"

he then started thinking, "oh you mean that fire, It had nothing to do with me"

Ei grabbed his collar, "Liar! you cannot hide the truth from me"

Scaramouche sighed, "It won't matter what I say, you won't believe me either way now will you"

he then gripped her hand and forced her backwards, Ei stumbled back and held to her polearm

"Despite that not being my doing, I came back to destroy Inazuma once and for all"

Ei's anger rose, and the thunder crashed in the sky "you'll never bring down this nation, not while I am here"

Scaramouche started chuckling again, "but I can, I've done It to many others and this place was on the top of my list, let's face the facts you can't destroy me...you're too weak"

his smile fell and he walked up to Ei until they were face to face, "Listen to me, I will destroy those who get in my way and that Includes my sister, I will destroy everything you love and care about, I will reduce this damned nation to ash and I will kill you"

his pupils shrunk as he said that last line, but then she grabbed his face with both hands

 purple lightening danced around Ei, "Kunikuzushi, Inazuma will never fall, you will fall at my feet instead and pay for all of your crimes, I won't spare anyone who harms my nation or family"

Scaramouche smirked "we'll soon see won't we, Mother"

those words struck Ei, and Scaramouche broke free of her hold, walked away as he started laughing evilly aloud as Ei stood there, while the storm still raged on before she turned on her heels heading back into the palace, she immediately went to her study and began writing on a piece of parchment, and when finished she put the brush down 

calling for one of the guards, he soon came In "Your Excellency"

she held out the paper, "take this to Lady Guuji as soon as possible"

he bowed, "yes"

he left her study and Ei stood up before she went to go calm within the plane of Euthymia.
