Matt's pov:

I was on my bed scrolling on my phone when I heard a knock...

Nick: "Knock, knock bitch!"
Matt: "What do you want?"
Nick: "Me and Chris want to go to Panera bread!"
Matt: "Ugh I don't feel like going out right now, ask mom to drive you guys!"
Nick: "I would, but she's out running some errands."
Matt: "You guys are so annoying!"
Nick: "Oh come on, you know you love us!"
I sigh...
Matt: "Fine, give me five minutes to get dressed."
Nick: "yay!"

Nick left my room, closing the door behind him. I got up off my bed and opened my closet to look for something to wear...

Good enough!

I open my bedroom door heading over to the kitchen...

Matt: "I'm ready."
Nick: "Let's go!"
Chris: "PANERA BREAD, BABYYY!!"

I laugh as we all head out the door and into the car.
I started the car and backed out of the driveway.

*At Panera Bread*

We had just arrived at Panera bread and went inside to have a seat.
We settled into our seats as Nick went to order our food...

Chris: "We haven't been to Panera Bread in so long!"
Matt: "I know, right!"
Nick: "Guys! I got our drinks; food should be coming in a little bit!!"
Chris: "Good, I'm starving!"

We all scrolled on our phones as we waited for the food to come.

???: "Here's your food! If there is anything you guys need, feel free to ask!"

I heard a female voice say. I look up to make eye contact with her...

???: "Enjoy your meal!"
Matt: "Uh- thank you!"

She smiles at me, and I watch her as she walks off...

Chris: "Yo Matt?"
Matt: "Huh, what?"
Nick: "Stop staring at her."
Matt: "I wasn't staring at her."
Chris: "Oh shit! Does Matt have a crush?!"
Matt: "Shut up! Keep your voice down!"
Nick: "No need to be embarrassed, Matt!"
Matt: "I'm not embarrassed I just..."
I pause...
Matt: "Oh would you look at that, FOOD! Looks so delicious!"
Nick: "Hey, don't change the subject!!!"

I grabbed a fork and started eating my food...

Chris: "Damn, this shit is so good!"
Matt: "Mhm!"
Nick: "Oh let me take a picture so we can post it on our Instagram story!"

Me and Chris pose for the camera...

Nick: "Chris you blinked; I have to take another one!"
Chris: "Ugh I just want to eat!"
Nick: "Just one more photo, Chris!"
Chris: "UGHHH!"

We were all enjoying our food, when I saw the girl walk past us to hand an order to another table.
She started heading back to the counter when she made eye contact with me again.
She smiled. It was like she cast a spell on me, making me smile back.
I was able to get a glimpse of her nametag before she walked away...

Her name was April.

Chris: *BUURRPP!*
Nick: "Ew no manners!"
Chris: "God that food was so good!"
Matt: "Yeah, I'm stuffed!"
???: "Are you guys done with your food?"

I look up to see April...

Nick: "Yes!"
April: "Alright, I will take your plates!"
Chris: "Thanks!"
Nick: "Thank you so much!"
Matt: "Thank you."
April: "No problem!"

She walks off.
We then got up, walking towards the exit...

Chris: "So, where to next?!"
Matt: "What do you mean?"
Chris: "We can't go home just yet!"
Matt: "I don't feel like going anywhere though!"
Nick: "Matt you never feel like going anywhere!"
Matt: "Well get your driver's licenses and drive yourselves places!"
Nick: "Whatever."

Just before we all exited, I decided to look back quickly at April.
I turned my head and noticed she was already looking at me. 

Shit! She caught me! Oh god that was so embarrassing!

April's pov:

I was chilling at the counter waiting for customers when I saw the boys leaving. I had already noticed that they were triplets, but one really caught my eye.
He turned around and looked at me but quickly turned back.

Shit, he just saw me staring at him! How embarrassing!!!

They then left...

April: "Oh my god!"
I cringed.
Noah: "What's wrong?"
April: "I'm embarrassed!"
Noah: "What'd you do this time?"
April: "You know that guy I was telling you about?"
Noah: "Yeah?"
April: "I was staring at him, and he noticed. Ugh!"
Noah: "Oh that's not that bad! I've seen you do way more embarrassing things!"
April: "Shut up Noah!"

Noah laughs walking to the back of the restaurant.
I pulled out my phone to check the time.

April: "Noah, my shifts over I'm clocking out!"
Noah: "Kay, bye!"

I take off my apron and quickly clock out.
I walked out of the restaurant, running to the bus stop. I sat on the bench until the bus came.
I hopped onto the bus and sat down.
I pulled out my earbuds and started listening to some music. I soon felt my eyelids get heavy.

???: "Excuse me ma'am?"
April: "hu- yea- what?"
I slowly opened my eyes...
Bus driver: "I'm done with my shift so you're going to need to get off the bus."
April: "Wait WHAT?!"
I checked the time...
April: "No, no, no! I'm late for my other job!! SHIT!"

I got off the bus, running around trying to figure out where I was. 
I saw the laundromat and ran inside.

April: "I'm so sorry I'm late, I fell asleep on the bus and lost track of time-"
Boss: "I've had enough of your apologies!"
April: Please-"
Boss: "No! If this job is too much for you to handle, then you shouldn't have applied!"
April: "This will be the last time I'm late; I swear!"
Boss: "You said that the last five times."
April: "Please?"
Boss: "I'm sorry April, but I have customers. You're fired."
April: "What?!"

No, I can't afford to get fired!

I stood there trying to figure out a way to convince my boss to let me stay, but I couldn't think of anything.
I slowly turned around heading towards the exit of the laundromat...

Boss: "Shouldn't you be studying in school?"
April: "Huh?"
I turned around...
Boss: "You're still young, go have fun instead of getting paid minimum wage!"

I can't afford college, and I really need this money!

I turned back around, opened the door and walked out.

I started walking home. I felt defeated.

That's when I saw a sign saying, "Now Hiring!" in the window of a restaurant. I ran inside...

Women: "Sorry we're closed, come back tomorrow!"
April: "Where can I apply?"
Women: "What?"
April: "You guys are hiring right?"
Women: "Yes! We are low on employees so we will take whomever!"
April: "So I'm hired?!"
Women: "Yup! You good in the kitchen?"
April: "Um... I try to stay away from the oven! Almost burned down a bakery once."
Women: "Oh um... well I guess you could deliver pizza?"
April: "Sounds easy to me!"
Women: "Great, you start tomorrow!"
April: "Thank you so much!"
