April's pov:

I had just woken up to my alarm blaring in my ears.

I got ready for work...
I went to my dads room to check up on him real quick.
He was sleeping on top of his sheets with his work clothes on.
He must've been really tired last night.
I grabbed an extra blanket and put it over him.

I then headed out the door to go to work.

Matt's pov:

I woke up and immediately grabbed my phone...

No notifications from April?

I got out of my bed and headed to the kitchen...

Nick: "Morning."
Chris: "Hey Matt!"
Matt: "Hey guys. Can I ask you guys something?"
Chris: "What's up?"

April's pov:

I finished my shift at the pizza restaurant and clocked out...

I then headed to Panera Bread for my other shift.

Noah: "Hey, it's my favorite employee!!"
April: "Hey Noah!"
Noah: "What's wrong?"
April: "Today's just been a shitty day."
Noah: "Aw I'm sorry to hear that."
April: "I also lost my phone and I'm gonna have to buy a new one ugh!"
Noah: "Of course you lost your phone. You're so dumb!"

I laugh.

Matt's pov:

Matt: "And she hasn't responded yet!"
Nick: "Maybe she's busy?"
Chris: "Or maybe she's ghosting you?"
Nick: "Chris!"

Nick elbows Chris...

Matt: "Ghosting me?"
Nick: "Don't listen to Chris he's an idiot!"
Matt: "Yeah you're right, she's probably just busy."

I headed to my room and got dressed. I sat on my bed scrolling on my phone for awhile...

What if she is ghosting me?

I couldn't stop thinking about April.
I ran over to Chris's room...

Matt: "Hey Chris!"
Chris: "Sup."

Chris was playing video games on his PC.

Matt: "Do you want pizza."
Chris: "What? We just had pizza yesterday though."
Matt: "Come on! I'll buy you a whole box all to yourself."
Chris: "Now that's an offer I cannot decline!"
Matt: "Okay, I'll go order some right now!"

Just as I was about to exit his room, he says...

Chris: "Wait a minute!"

I slowly turned around...

Chris: "Somethings not right?"
Matt: "What do you mean?"
Chris gasps...
Chris: "You just want to order pizza so you can see April again!!"
Matt: "Ugh fine you caught me."
Chris: "Matt don't worry she's not ghosting you!"
Matt: "Okay, okay fine."
Chris: "But can you still order that pizza?"

I order a box of pizza for Chris.
That's when I heard the door bell ring...

Matt: "I GOT IT!"
I ran over to the door opening it...

Guy: "Large pepperoni pizza for Matt?"
Matt: "Where's April?"
Guy: "What?"
Matt: "April?"
Guy: "Um there's a thing called shifts."
Matt: "Well do you know where April is right now?"
Guy: "No, I don't know no April."
Matt: "Ugh!"
Guy: "Listen man, I just started working here so take the pizza so I can go!"
Matt: "Right, sorry!"

I grabbed the pizza and shut the door.

Chris: "So did you see April?"
Matt: "No."
Chris: "Oh well, at least I got me some pizza!!"

I grabbed my shoes and keys and headed out the door...

Chris: "Where are you going?!"
Matt: "Somewhere!"

April's pov:

I was laughing at the jokes Noah made, until I heard a familiar voice

???: "April?"

I turned around to see Matt!?

April: "Matt?! What are you doing here?"
Noah: "Oh isn't this the guy you lik-"
April: "AHEM! Why don't we talking outside?"
Matt: "Sure."

Matt's pov:

Me and April went outside to talk.
We sat at one of the outside tables...

Matt: "That guy back there-"
April: "Oh don't listen to him he's such an idiot."
Matt: "Are you two..."
April: "WHAT?! No! He's gay so..."
Matt: "Oh, okay good!"
April: "What?"
Matt: "I mean not good- not that it's a- anyways I texted you last night!"
April: "You did?"
Matt: "Yeah, did you not get it?"
April: "I actually lost my phone."

She lost her phone? SO SHE WASN'T GHOSTING ME!!!

Matt: "Oh!"
April: "I'm actually almost done with my shift, after I'm going to the store to get a new phone... wanna come?"
Matt: "Uh... sure!!"
