One Shot One Kill

As I got somewhat comfortable, I looked through the scope with enhanced eye sight just barely emitting any mana signature

Seeing republican soldiers walking through the trenches and manning the artillery as well as having a nice chat over the fire

'This spot really is good... I can see all of them from here...' I thought to myself as I continue to scout for info

As I watched them do what they do, I found out that the higher ups were wearing goofy looking hats

"No time like the present." I said to myself as I aimed my gun at the goofy hat man

Put in a bit of magic so it could hit from this distance. As I hold my breath... I pulled the trigger

"How are the men lieutenant?"

"They are doing fine and are ready for war, Sir!"

"That's good... We need to keep up their morale so we can win this war."

"Yes sir!"

(Bang)

"What was that?!"

"Just one of the artillery firing, lieutenant."

"You're probably right, sir. Hehe."

I turned around to see my commanding officer dead on the ground, bleeding through the middle of his head

"COMMANDER!"

"It seems like one of them is panicking... Time to let all hell break loose... Lol." I said as I readyid another shot at anyone who comes to my sight

Then bang... And another... And another... And another to the point I finished all the rounds

"10 successful kills and 1 of them was an important person. Not a bad start and this gun is functioning well for a prototype..." I said looking at the gun then through the scope to see chaos

The soldiers are panicking, trying to look for the enemy who was far away from them

I giggled at the sight of chickens running around aimlessly and in fear

As I changed the clip, I started contemplating whether or not to change spot to avoid enemy detection but chose to stay since its the dead of night

I suddenly got an idea... Since I can use magic to enhance the bullet maybe... I looked through my bag and saw a silencer

It might be a downgrade for those who are not used to it... But still, if I learn how to use this with a silencer... Let's just say they're going to be afraid wherever they go

I added the silencer and started target practice throughout the night

As I aimed my scope at the soldiers in the trenches since majority of them already went to hide inside

I found another man with a goofy hat shouting out orders

I aimed at his head and pulled the trigger... Hitting him straight through his temple

I sighed as I packed my stuff and went to go make a makeshift hideout for me

A place that is concealed and can be easily accessible to me

Since the sun was about to rise

I wiped my sweat off my brow and looked at my handy work

It looks like rubble piled up but has a hole for me to squeeze through and a lot of other tiny holes for air to flow through

I grabbed my stuff and put it in first then I squeezed through

I looked at my temporary shelter and saw that it was actually spacious... I have leg room and can stretch my arm

I have a support beam in the middle of my shelter as well... It's just a broken tree

Thank goodness I brought my shovel with me

I looked through my stuff and assess what I lost during the night

"I used up 6 clips and killed around 40 people. Not bad for the first night."

I've gotten used to the silencer now thanks to trial and error as well as the fear of being spotted if I continued to keep on missing

I sigh of relief as I relax for a bit, grabbing some food and water... It's just biscuits and bread mostly

As I plan on going back out again to continue my practice

It's been 3 days and I was slowly making my way back to base

I have killed over a hundred people in a span of 3 days... That's got to be a record

As I drew closer to the base, I was greeted with shouting and guns aimed at me

Not wanting trouble I took off my ghillie suit and showed them my dirty uniform

"I'm 2nd Lieutenant Olivia Degurechaff!" I announced which they quickly pulled down their guns and proceeded to say sorry

Through all the commotion, I saw Lieutenant Iren Schwarzkopf coming here.

"What's all this about!" He shouted with anger on his face only to be shocked when he saw me

He smiled and said "Lieutenant Degurechaff. Nice to see you're still alive and well. Go to the doctor and after that let's have a chat in my office."

I saluted and said "Yes sir!"

After going to the doctor getting only my wounds cleaned up before taking a bath

I knocked on the door and heard from the inside "Come in."

"Ah. Lieutenant just on time. We have much to discuss so please come in and close the door." Lieutenant Schwarzkopf said

"Yes sir!" I did what I was told and stood in front of the tall table, barely seeing over it

"Lieitenant. We have received information that the republican army is in chaos. Our sources told us that during the past 3 days there has been an onslaught which killed about 100 republican soldiers. About 10 of them were commanding officers. They said they were killed by a bullet through the head. We have retrieved a bullet which is said to have a mana signature of the person who did it... If I'm not mistaken Lieutenant this was charged with your magic, am I correct?" He said giving me the bullet with my mana on it

"Yes sir. This is my mana." I said with a blank face because I'm tired as hell

I then heard whispers from around the room only for them to be silenced by Lieutenant Schwarzkopf's laughter

"Lieutenant, it was thanks to you that we managed to advance our forces and secure a good portion as well. The situation isn't dire as it was 3 days ago." Lieutenant Schwarzkopf said with a smile

We talked some more and I found out that my kills were confirmed and that I'm an ace after joining the fray 3 days ago

I got the highest kill count in the army and that the republicans gave me a moniker "The Angel Of Death"

"Lieutenant, you going on vacation now?" Lieutenant Schwarzkopf said with a smile

"I'm going to wait for my sister, so we can both go on holiday." I said with a smile

"Well then go and get some rest, you look like you need it. Hehe." Lieutenant Schwarzkopf with a soft look on his face

I said my goodbye and went to my tent probably going to get some well needed sleep
