By the time Rocky gained consciousness, everything was about to be under the ruins. Shetty killed all his supporters in Bombay and Pandiyan was called for no confidence in motion voting. Distributors had withdrawn their support after the demise of Rajendra.

Next evening, Rocky gained consciousness and found himself lying in Reena's lap who was fast asleep leaning on the headboard. He coughs and gazes at their joint hands resting on his torso, where he finds his mother's locket. So it was with her all this time. He didn't expect her to keep it.

He coughs again, which breaks her sleep and she straightened seeing him awake. He watches her as she checks his temperature, placing her free palm on his forehead. She breathes in relief noting his temperature has toned down.

She said, "Oka nimisham !" And helped him sit straight and made him drink some water. He wondered how much time he was unconscious, "Idi second day. Ninnu shoot chesindi ninna."

(Wait a minute ! --- It's the second day. You were shot yesterday.l

Reena informed him and told Mallamma to bring the soup. He recalled having her next to him whenever he gained a consciousness during his sleep. Her soft voice rang in his ears, *Don't abandon me. Not you too..*

She shifted to get down from the bed, when he placed his right hand over her right one making her stop. She turned to him and queried with a worry clouding her face, "Evaindi ? Noppiga vunda ?"

(What happened ? Is it paining ?)

He shook his head and asked, "Bangaram, Velli Maavayya ni chudhama ?" Reena's eyes filled at the mention of her Father. Yes she wants to go to her father. To see him for the last time and conduct his last rites.

(Bangaram, Shall we go and visit Maavayya (Father-in-law) ?)

But first Rocky has to recover. So she said blinking back her tears, "Veldham. Kani mundu nuvvu recover avvu. Aatarvta veldham."

(We shall. But first you have to recover. We will go after that.)

He wiped the traitor tear that escaped as she gulped the lump in her throat telling him, "Nenu vellenta varaku Nanna ni hospital vaalu release cheyaru. Nanna ki nenokkathe kuthurni."

(Hospital won't release Dad, until I am there. I'm his only daughter.)

She turned away from him and looked down at their hands with a waiver in her voice, "Na signature lekunda hospital vaalu discharge allow cheyaru. Nenu already hospital authorities tho matladi, official mail pettinchanu. Nanna ni nenu vachenta varaku pre..ser..ve cheyamani."

Reena clenched her jaw, shutting her eyes and her insides twisted painfully at referring to her father as a thing to preserve instead of a person. Rocky patted her hand in support, seeing the turmoil on her face.

She glanced up at his wound at that and asked slowly, "Nanna ni chappinchindi Adheera ne kada ? Nannu KGF nunchi bayataki rappinchadaniki. Na dwara ninnu cheradaniki."

(It was Adheera who was behind Dad's death, isn't it ? To lure me out of KGF. And then to reach you through me.)

Silent tears trailed down at recalling the fact that he was shot because he came to get her. Her tears caused more distress to Rocky than the wound on his chest.

He silently wiped them away, with the back of his hand, "Edavaduu Bangaram. It's hurts." He said with a tired voice in his signature style, making her frown before shaking her head at his teasing.
