Chapter 8

Well, the whole scenario was awful.

Abby screamed her head off, but was pleased with Eliza.

The whole bus ride back, you and Kenzie were gossiping about Eliza.

Then came school on Monday.

Same thing that happens everyday.

Eliza steals your spot first period, Eliza flirts with Josh all through F&8, and Eliza stole your seat at lunch, repeat.

And at pyramid, Eliza was on top, and you were the bottom.

Repeat.

Eliza got another solo, and you what do ya know, you have a solo too.

"This is second one out of three," Abby had said when she assigned them to you, "whoever wins the more, gets to stay."

On Wednesday you and Jake decided to work on your project at his house.

You knocked on the door, and his mom answered.

"He's upstairs." She said.

You nodded, and went to his room.

He was spread across his bed, and a smile plastered across his face.

"What's up with you?" You asked, closing the door.

"We're not working on the project," He smirked.

"Uh, yeah we are," you said, "its due next week."

"Not tonight. You're gonna help me plan me and Chloe's Valentine's date."

"Oh no I'm not," you chuckled, "We have to work."

"C'mon! Please!" Jake begged.

"Fine." You groaned.

You walked to the park, and he told you how it was gonna go.

"I'm gonna take her to Annie's, then here, where I give her this promise ring." He said, taking out a ring.

"It's gorgeous," You smiled, "she'll totally love it."

"Hey, (Y/N) I was wondering if you could..." He trailed off.

"Help you practice? Sure." You smiled.

He got down on one knee.

"Aw! Chloe will totally love it!"

"I haven't said anything yet." He chuckled.

"I know, but still."

"Chloe," he said, "I've liked you ever since I met you in seventh grade. You were standing at your locker, talking to Paige, and I accidentally hit your locker and slammed it on your hand. You were so understanding, and I knew that I had to make you mine."

You smiled.

"And, this is a promise ring. I want to be with you for the rest of my life," he said, "so will you?"

"And this is the part where she'll say yes." You squealed.

Got got up, and slipped the ring on your finger.

"Chloe," he whispered, "you make me so happy."

Then he kissed you.

"Ew! What the heck, Jake!" You yelled, pulling away.

"Sorry, I needed to practice what I was going to do to her." Jake mumbled.

"Hey, (Y/N)!"

Oh no.

You turned around, and found Eliza, with her phone whipped out.

"Josh'll never forgive you!" She smirked, running off.

You ran from Jake, hoping to catch Eliza.

But it was too late.

Eliza was gone.

The next day was awful.

Not only had Eliza shown Josh the photo, but Chloe too.

So you went to talk to Josh and Chloe after school.

"Hear me out," you pleaded, catching up to him, "it wasn't what it looked like."

"Then what the heck was it?!" He yelled.

"Jake asked me to help him out with planning something special for Chloe for Valentine's Day," you explained, "and he practiced what he was going it sat to her on me, and he wanted to kiss her, so kissed me."

Chloe looked mad, but Josh looked relived.

"Thank god." He said, pulling you in.

"Alright," Chloe gave in, "I know you would never do that to me."

You hugged her, and Josh kissed your cheek.

You hen went to dance.
