Within two years a lot had changed, Elisya and Lindir married officially with a reception consisting of friends only which had satisfied both of them. Glorfindel and Imelda renewed their vows and were trying for a child. Celebrían thought more and more about her parents and home, worried about her father's reaction to her relationship with Elrond.
"Celebrían" Elrond says
"Sorry, is something wrong?" Celebrían asks
"You looked preoccupied" Elrond says
"Thinking about my parents and home. I have avoided my parents for years and home well I think it's changed from Lothlórien to Rivendell" Celebrían says
"You should see your parents but I'm glad you find Rivendell homely" Elrond says
"You think?" Celebrían questions
"Yes. What's the worst that can happen? I know how you feel about the situation but they can't change your heart" Elrond says softly
"No. My heart is yours" Celebrían says with a smile
"Then go" Elrond says
"I will. Though if it's okay. Can I take Thalia or maybe Imelda, if she's back, with me?" Celebrían asks softly
"Of course" Elrond says
Celebrían goes to find Thalia but only comes to find Erestor in the library alone.
"Good Morning. Can I help you with something?" Erestor asks
"I was looking for Thalia" Celebrían says
"She's down at the pools today" Erestor says
"Sorry. The pools?" Celebrían questions
"The fertility pools" Erestor says softly "I thought she'd told you"
"No. I didn't know she was even considering it yet. Kids I mean" Celebrían murmurs softly
Celebrían sighs softly as she thinks softly. She knew all about Thalia's issues with conceiving but didn't know how bad it was.
"Was it urgent?" Erestor asks
"No, not really. I just was going to ask her to do something but it doesn't matter" Celebrían says
Erestor places his hand on Celebrían's shoulder, making her look at him.
"What's wrong?" Erestor asks
"It's nothing really. I just...I'm going back to Lothlórien" Celebrían answers
"Is that a problem?" Erestor questions
"No. Yes. I don't know" Celebrían sighs softly "I'm so confused"
"I'm happy to listen if you want to talk about it" Erestor says
"It's just my parents left me here. Elrond and I grew close. And I became close to my friends as well. I fear that when I go back...my father doesn't approve of Elrond. I know he doesn't but I just don't want him to talk me into staying in Lothlórien" Celebrían sighs
"You think he'd try to talk you out of being with Elrond?" Erestor asks
Celebrían sighs sadly and nods.
"My father made his feelings perfectly clear" Celebrían says
"Oh" Erestor says
"Yeah I know" Celebrían says
"I'll take you to Thalia. It sounds like you need the support of a friend. I know Imelda and Glorfindel are out on a hunt together" Erestor says
"I don't want to disturb her. I can go alone" Celebrían replies
Erestor looks at her gently.
"Only go alone if you're sure. Thalia won't mind going even given what she's doing today" Erestor says softly
"I know, but she's a good friend so maybe I can just go by myself" Celebrían says
