Celebrían embraced Elrond as soon as she saw him
"Celebrían" Elrond says, a little worriedly as it was evident that it hadn't gone well
"I've missed you" Celebrían says softly
"I've missed you too" Elrond says softly "Is something wrong?"
"I don't want to talk about it" Celebrían murmurs
Elrond nods slightly. Imelda shakes her head slightly as she rests against Glorfindel, giving Elrond the answer. Celeborn hadn't approved of him. Elrond didn't know why Celeborn wouldn't accept him, but Celebrían's love was more than enough for him, having not done anything to cause offence.
"I'm going to go rest. You coming?" Celebrían asks
"Yeah. I'll be there in a few minutes" Elrond says softly
Celebrían nods slightly and kisses his cheek before leaving. Elrond stands at the edge of the balcony looking out. Everyone had left apart from
"You should talk to him" Glorfindel states
"Celeborn has made his position on me very clear" Elrond sighs
"You love her" Imelda argues "If you want to be with her then you should get his blessing"
Elrond nods slightly thinking about it, knowing that she was right.
"Go to him" Imelda says
"I will. Especially since I'm thinking about marrying her" Elrond says
Imelda and Glorfindel look at him in complete shock.
"You okay?" Elrond asks after a few moments of silence
"Sorry. I just didn't expect you to be thinking about that" Imelda admits
"I've thought of little else since we chose each other" Elrond says
"Well then you should talk to him" Glorfindel responds softly
Elrond sighs softly and nods slightly, knowing that they were right.
"I will. Just in a few days. I think she needs me more" Elrond says
Imelda just nods understanding that. Elrond leaves quietly and wraps his arms around Celebrían's waist.
"Is everything okay?" Celebrían asks softly, leaning into it
"Yes of course" Elrond murmurs softly
Celebrían hums softly in response, sighing almost immediately after.
"He said that he wouldn't choose you" Celebrían says "I know that doesn't change anything but..."
"Yeah I know" Elrond murmurs softly "I'll talk to him"
"You don't have to" Celebrían says softly, turning to face him
"I want to" Elrond says brushing hair from her face "You are more than enough for me but I know what he thinks is important to you so I will talk to him"
