Weeks after the meeting

3rd pov

After Y/N managed to make factions unite under one banner, these last few weeks the factions have made preparations for war with their new enemy. Everyone has been pouring resources for troops, vehicles and weapons. The UAAF have also grown their numbers with many students from Union, UA and volunteers from the public. Some from Atlas also joined the UAAF among them is Winter. Due to the alliance, Ironwood decided to make a secret airbase away from the ears of the Atlas Council. Most of them are still being jerks and were furious that Ironwood decide to make an alliance with the UAAF. The ones who support the idea secretly giving funds to Ironwood to make it happen. Jacques caught the wind of what's going on thanks to Weiss, decided to also give funds to Ironwood. The secret airbase is built between Menagerie and Atlas for quick response to any threats that pose a threat to both settlement. Y/N had send Mage and Golem Squadrons to that base to teach more pilots. Talon, Spartan, Gremory and Sitri Squadrons have graduated from training

Union Academy

Speaking of the said squadrons, they are standing in front of one of the many hangars. They are going to meet up with Y/N for something that they don't even know. They watched one of Y/N's squadrons taking off

Gasper: This whole war thing is crazy

This is his first time seeing the air force being this active. Kiba look at him while crossing his arms

Kiba: It is a necessity to prepare for war, Gasper. We don't want to be caught with pants down

Issei was startled by the words that Kiba said

Issei: Eh?!

He was interrupted by Koneko punching his stomach hard causing him to bend over in pained

Asia sigh and help her teammate up and use her healing on him. Ruby look at Issei with disgust and disappointment

Ruby: You really haven't changed one bit, Issei. I thought after all those lessons that my brother gave you could stop you from being a pervert, but I was wrong

Ruby mumbled that to herself which her squadron heard and silently glared at Issei which were oblivious to others. Spartan Squadron were thinking the same thing but chose to be silent. Sitri Squadron were making sure to keep a lot of distance away from him. Gremory Squadron just had to faced even more disappointment thanks to Issei. Before anyone can throw hands, they heard footsteps approaching them causing all of them to turn to the direction to see Y/N. They all straighten themselves and salute at him

Squadrons: Commander!

He nodded clearly liking at the improved personality

You: At ease. Now, I'm sure you have heard about the upcoming war from Ozpin or the public announcement in general, right?

They all nodded and their first reactions were terrified at the mention of it. This will be their first taste of war and it will never be good first impressions

Sona: If I may ask, sir?

He nodded for his wife to continue

Sona: Who are we going to war with? With the amount of preparations from all of the kingdoms, wouldn't it be overkill?

Many nodded at the amount of firepower they have been storing is very big enough to take on all of the kingdoms. It may be faint but the look of her eyes tells him that she is worried about the outcome. Not only her but the rest of those who had feelings for him which caused Y/N to sigh
