It was afternoon now

The first thing Sonu wanted in the morning when ishqi called her to inform about kartik, was to rush to the hospital and meet her cheapda , but she was supposed to have her first ultrasound appointment scheduled with her gynaec that morning and both her and raj forgot about the same owing to all the chaos, Raj got a call from the doctors clinic informing them about the same they almost facepalmed themselves ,and decided to finish the appointment first and then go to the hospital to check on kartik

The doctor ushered them into the sonography room, she was excited and
overwhelmed to see the foetus, it was the most adorable tiny little ball, all cute and curled up, raj gently held her hands and had happy tears seeing the baby . She soflty caressed her belly trying to feel the life inside her. She remembered how her entire family was elated when they informed them about her pregnancy, ahaan and ishqi were overjoyed, kartik was over the moon, he infact became a bit emotional over the fact that his chipkali wasn't small anymore she was going to be a mother , he had already boasted million times on how it would be a baby girl and she would go on her cool karthik mamu
She was eager to show him the reports and wanted to see that childlike glee in his face and hear his playful jibes on how she would still be his chipkali no matter what . But the fact that kartik was in hospital injured made her heart heavy

They collected the reports and rushed to hospital
Sonu observed kartik from the small window outside his room ,her cheapda was lying in bed and her bhaiyya and bhabhi were sitting besides him with a worried expression
She suppressed a sob from escaping her mouth .she was feeling a myriad of emotions
Sonu was habituated to her irritating goofy brother,she was well versed to his pj's and lame one liners .but she absolutely hated to see this version of kartik
His characteristics lop sided grin and the glint in his eyes were missing,he appeared pale , and drained out .she felt like seeing a meek imitation of her chirpy cheapda
She went inside silently with raj in the trail she slowly held his hand and uttered his name
This made kartik to open his eyes groggily, and saw sonu standing beside him . He slowly sat up with ahaan's help

Sonu couldn't control herself,she hugged kartik tightly and started crying
Sonu - cheapde thank god ki tu teekh he, tune hum sabke jaan nikal di thi,
Kartik reciprocated the hug
Raj - kartik, Tu abh kaisa he?
Kartik - ek dam...awesome
Sonu - awesome ke bache, dikh raha he tu kitna teekh he, kya zarurat the tujhe yeh khataron ke khiladi wala stunt karne ki, abh dekh rahe ho iska nateeja
Kartik - oyy chipkali tu aate hi mujhe sunane lag gyi, yeh nhi ki haal chaal puche
Sonu - tu harkate hi aisa karta he, toh mein kya karu, abh bata kaise ho tum, zyada pain ho rha he kya
Kartik - mein teekh hu chipkali
Sonu - acha!! Pura bandage mein lipta huva mummy dikh raha he tu, aur keh raha "mein teekh hu "
Kartik - acha huva na, tu waise bhi mummy dekh ke kitna darte the, tujhe daarane ka ek aur mauka mil gya
Sonu - tera yeh haalat hi kaafi he mujhe darane keliye
Kartik smiled seeing her concern
Sonu- abh daant mat dikha, aur yeh bata yeh sabh huva kaise ?
Raaj - haa kartik yeh sabh huva kaise?
Kartik - wo mein ghaadi chala rha tha,pata nhi kaise , achanak ek chota bacha mere car ke saamne aagya, toh meine ghaadi ghumaya par mera dhyaan atak gaya aur saamne se ek truck aaraha tha so....
All of them were shocked hearing him
Sonu - oh god, cheapad tu itna careless kaise ho sakta, agar tujhe kuch ho jata toh,dekho na bhaiyya yeh apna dhyaan hi nhi rakhta
Ahaan - sonu , tu bilkul teekh keh rhi he , sabka khayal he isse par khudka dhyaan nhi rakh sakta
Raj - kartik ,i get it tunne uss bache ko bachane keliye aise kiya , par khudki safety bhi dhyaan mein rakhna chahiye,Agar aise harkatem karoge toh sonu aur bhaiyya se bahut pitoge
Kartik- raaj mere bhai tumhi mujhe bachalo in logon se, hum in sabko chod ke kahi chale jaate he, hum na apni pending honeymoon pe ja sakte he
, kyon bhai
Kartik winked at ahaan and ishqi
Ahaan - Tu pehle teekh hoja , phir hum tujhe dekh lenge
Sonu - kartik, yeh faaltu jokes maarke baat mat ghumma,tujhe apne khayal rakhna chahiye,tu itne careless nhi ho sakte,tujhe pata he tera car blast ho gya tha, thank god ki bhaiyya aur bhabhi the tere saath .
Kartik - what!! Mera car blast ho gaya
Sonu - tujhe abhi bhi car ki padi he, ek car gayi toh doosra mil jayega par tujhe kuch hogaya toh hum kya karte
Ahaan - abh chup kyo he bol na kuch
Kartik - Bhaii .... Aap mujhe kuch hone nhi diya na, superhero ahaan aur risky ishqi the na mere pass toh mujhe kuch kaise ho sakte he
Ahaan and ishqi together- badmaash
sonu - tu kabhi nhi sudharega na
Kartik showed his tongue
Sonu - abh tujhe , sari medicines time pe lena he without any nautanki, hum sabh tera pura dhyaan rakhenge,
Kartik - teekh he mere mother india
Raj - mother india se yaad aaya, aaj meri sonurita ke first ultrasound tha
Ishqaan and kartik became excited hearing it, sonu showed the reports to them , all were emotional seeing it.
Kartik - wow, yeh kitni cool he bilkul apni mamu ki taraf
Sonu -Tu agar itna cool he,toh pehle teekh ho ja, kyon bhaiyya
Ahaan - yes, sonu
Kartik pouted - aap aur sonu mere khilaf team bana rahe ho that's not fair
Ahaan- hum sabh ek hi team mein he, bas tu jaldi teekh hoja
Kartik - yes boss

Ahaan and sonu sighed in relief, this goofball was damn precious to them , they couldn't afford to loose him at any cost.They thanked Almighty for keeping their happy pill safe
The duo hugged kartik from both sides and kartik felt really lucky to have them
Ishqi and Raj smiled seeing their bond
