Philippines... Ah yes, Philippines
The Philippines where it's more fun
Known for our hospitality and the songs we sung
Philippines, the country where the youth never wins.

Land of the morning, Child of the sun returning,
And yet we, the future living every morning,
We look up to the elderly and felt like we aren't yet deserving.
.
But why? Why is it that the hope of the future,
with the same yearning for our nation to prosper is stripped of our voice?
Why is it, that the values we keep on fighting for is devalued, looked down, and it's as if we're joking?
Philippines! If it's a life worth living, then why are the past mistakes keep on leading?

Like the sky when it rains, the children wept.
As the morning keeps on coming,
Every night when we soundly slept,
A child looks out at the dead night sky wondering
Will invaders trample our shore again?
Or will our own people, Filipinos, crumble our country into the depths of debt?

Look at our waters, is it still ours?
The beauty of the white sand beaches, the clear blue lagoons, the scent of our national flower
Are we, this future living in the present of this morning,
Fall into the hands of those who devour?
Are we to experience a present where we watch the future turn sour?

We, the future of this morning,
Please hear our voice, the voice of yearning.
We gaze at our phones in dead silence while our thoughts are screaming.
Philippines, are you listening?

Philippines, Ah yes, Philippines
The Philippines where it's more fun,
The National Anthem we rose for and sang
Philippines, I hope we, the children of this morning, someday wins.
