Ruined... my view of this Godd- child was completely ruined. My brain could not believe it.

'Had I truly gone insane, or was this really an opportunity? This self centred ego can free me?'

"Yes I can!" An enchanting smile is unleashed from her face, "And it's a place where heroes aren't needed!"

"..."

"Only you can help me!" She acted as if nothing was wrong with that statement.

It was an exchange for freedom that I have to help this person.

"Basically!" Acting all smug, how infuriating.

"Well... if it allows me to escape this hell, I would do anything. Even if it means following 'you', " My disdain clearly emphasised.

"So you can speak!" She strolled over to the light ignoring my remark.

With no other choice I followed her lead, closing my eyes inside the blinding light. After all, with a chance at freedom, no matter the costs I must escape.

"By the way I have a name, it's Alicia okay! Goddess Alicia, revered across all the lands!"

"You mean child, right?"

"Muuu! How dare you insult me! I am a GODDESS! With a name!"

"Must be quite a useless one if you need someone like me to help you."

A cursed hero helping a goddess cursed with childlike stupidity, how fitting. However her disagreement was clear and had been grumbling curses.

"I can't hear you! Hmph," She pouted her lips and covered her ears.

Child indeed.

"Just open your eyes already you jerk!"

"Yes yes, Goddess of the Heavens, the one and only," I offer sarcastic praise.

"Well if you understand, it is okay."

As gullible as one too.

"I didn't hear anything!"

I open my eyes and light begins filling them to the brim. However what appeared left me in shock.

'Truly what a feast for my sight... a pair of barbaric, green, bulking orcs chomping on juicy corpses. And to top it off, a closed-in rotting room about to crumble! My nose was practically jumping in joy from the amazing stench they emitted!'

"Uh... I seem to have made a mistake!"

This Goddess!

"Ummm...! Take this sword! Made out of the highest purity of iron!" She grinned as the sword started materialising from thin air, "You're good with swords since you were a hero right?"

"Where'd it come from?"

"Secret!~" The goddess infuriatingly spoke.

Besides the airhead's blunder she was right, swordsmanship may fit my tastes.

The orcs slowly made their way over, the old wood creaking underneath.

The surroundings were something akin to ruins so the exit was barely open. While right behind was a cowering 'goddess', so to speak.

"I'm 100% not scared okay!" Maybe it would be more convincing were she not shaking in place.

The smaller orc thinking it was a good idea to interrupt released a slow but heavy strike with it's club. Due to it's lack of brain matter, I caught the Goddess and made a run for the exit.

Boom!

The wall where I just ran from was cleanly disintegrated showing a brutal display of strength.

"Run ahead! I'll clear the path!"
