Flowers of Feelings ( Sunny x Basil )

My worries only grow stronger

                                                                          Sunny's pov:

It's been a while since I've seen Basil, not really a while, but for us, longer than normal.

It's been two days, Mari told me to check on him but...I don't wanna upset him.

Plus, I'm sure he's doing fine, right...?

I'll go visit him today.

I walked downstairs and outside to the backyard where I saw Mari, Kel, and Aubrey.

"There you are Sunny, took you long enough!"

"Kel! Don't be so insensitive, you already know Sunny's been worried about Basil!" Aubrey said while pulling Kel's ear.

"Owww, Aubery let go!"

"You two calm down!"

Aubrey and Kel both turned to Mari, and Aubery let go.

"Fine."

Mari got up and pulled me to one of the corners of the backyard.

"About Basil, have you checked on him yet?"

"No, but I'm thinking of doing it today, I'm starting to get worried."

"I can come with you If it makes you feel better?"

"Yeah."

Mari sighed and looked down at the ground.

For the first time, she seems really upset.

"I know I'm supposed to be the one over this situation, but I can't shake the feeling that something is wrong."

"Mari don't be too upset about it, I think Basil is just fine, plus we're going to go check on him anyway."

I laughed.

"Isn't it funny, me giving you advice when that's your whole thing?"

Mari laughed as well.

"It is."



                                                                                 Basil's pov:

It feels like it's been so long since I've seen Sunny, but It's only been two days.

I guess I can't stay mad at him for long, I already miss him so much.

But he probably doesn't wanna see me, he thinks I'm weird.

I looked over to my diary sitting on my bed and picked it up.

I feel so stupid, why would I ruin things between us even more, I feel so bad.

Sunny probably thinks I'm mad at him, which I will admit, it did hurt a bit.

To hear exactly what I feared, that he only sees me as a friend, nothing more, nothing less.

But still, I can't just get over him, I love him so much, but I already know he doesn't love me.

So why do I have to feel this way? I'm just torturing myself with the thread of a single sentence pulling at my heart.

"It makes me happy to see you happy."

Does it really? Or was he just growing tired of me and wanted me to feel better quicker.

I did something yesterday.

I was so upset I wasn't thinking straight.

I was so sad, but sadness turns into anger.

And, it hurts, but I deserve the pain, my arms really hurt.

                                                                                         Sunny's pov:

Mari and I walked up to the front of Basil's house.

"Want me to knock?"

"Sure."

Mari smiled, I'm guessing in an attempt to cheer me up.

Mari knocked on the door and Polly answered.

"Oh! Mari, Sunny, what a pleasant surprise, haven't seen you both here together in a while."

"Yeah, we were just wondering if Basil wanted to hang out, we haven't seen him in a while."

She was quiet for a second.

"I'll see if he wants to come out, hold on."

Polly went back inside the house cracking the door.

"That was weird, do you think that Basil's still upset?"

Mari's normal smile became a bit of a frown.

"I won't say no, but I really do hope not."

Polly came back to the door, a frown on her face.

"He said he doesn't wanna come out."

"Really? Is everything okay with him?"

Polly sighed.

"I can't really say, he doesn't even wanna come out of his room anymore."

I looked at Mari, and she looked at me.

"Well okay, we'll see you later, bye!"

"Bye."

Polly shut the door and Mari looked down at the ground.

"He's really upset huh, I hope he's okay."

I sighed and put my hand on her shoulder.

"We tried, let's go home."
