When Jieun woke up the next morning, she had the apartment to herself. Jimin had left early, his law class was starting their group all-day review sessions. Taehyung had an early morning photo shoot before class.
She groans as her alarm goes off, slowly sitting up to stretch. The apartment was very quiet, almost too quiet. The noise level in their shared apartment ranged from dinner party conversation to tornado warnings sounding directly into one's ears. It was almost creepy this morning.
Jieun shook her head, quickly getting out of bed. She got ready as fast as she could, wanting to get out of the empty apartment but also wanting to stop by Jin's before going to class.
She pulled open the heavy door, happy to see that the café was pretty deserted despite it being a Monday morning.
Jin smiled as she walked up to the counter, "You didn't bring your hooligans today?"
Jieun shakes her head, "Photoshoot for one and study group for the other. Only god knows where Kookie is."
"He can be unpredictable, I'll give you that," Jin nods, "Do you want your normal?" Jieun nods quickly, handing the man some money.
Jin quickly makes her caramel latte, trying to resist taking Jieun's money. She just waves, leaving money on the counter as she runs out of the café.
Jin sighs, watching her run down the street through the window. Jeno yells something from the kitchen, breaking his train of thought.
"Coming Jeno!" Jin says, heading into the back, hoping nothing was broken again.Jieun's first-class went quickly, and she headed to her second where Danbi was waiting for her.
"Hey," She slides into the chair next to the girl with a slightly breathless smile.
Danbi looks up and grins, "Hey! How was your weekend? Oh, you had that interview Friday too, right? How did that go?"
Jieun sighs, "Girl, so much happened, it was mostly good I guess though, I can tell you at lunch. How was yours?"
Danbi starts to respond but she gets cut off by the teacher's entrance.
"Hello, class!" Professor Namjoon says, "Happy Monday! As you know today is our last formal class to give you all plenty of time to finish your final projects. Speaking of those, if I did not talk to you about yours last week, I would like to speak to you after class today," Namjoon smiles, giving Jieun a pointed look. She nods, knowing she hadn't made the time after class last week to catch up on her work with the professor.
The two girls quickly get their things out, taking notes as Namjoon lectures about the different ways to incorporate nonfabric items with most fabrics.
Once the class is over, most people start to filter out, some staying to talk to friends or discuss their pieces for their final products.
"Want me to wait for you?" Danbi asks, putting her bag over her shoulder.
"You don't have to, I can catch up at the cafeteria later," Jieun assures her friend, walking up to the front of the classroom.
Namjoon smiles, "Jieun, exactly who I wanted to see," He leans against the desk, crossing his ankles.
"Hey professor, sorry I didn't stay and talk last week,"
"What's the rule in my classroom?" Namjoon asks her, one eyebrow raised playfully.
Jieun sighs, "No apologizing, I know, it's a hard habit to break."
Namjoon smiles, understanding how deeply rooted the habit is in most people. He made a point of having his classrooms be nonjudgmental, making sure every student he taught was comfortable enough to talk to him about any issues they were having.
'So, how is your project going?" Namjoon asks, changing the subject. Jieun quickly fills the professor in on the situation, the stress she felt at the sheer amount of work ahead of her showing in he face and voice.
"You are overwhelmed because of the two separate tasks?" Namjoon asks, wanting to help his student as much as possible.
"I guess that's what it comes down to, I'll just have to work really hard for a few months," Jieun says, trying to sound confident.
Namjoon nods, thinking as fast as he could, "I have an option for you."
Jieun looks up, hope in her eyes.
"If you can find male models to walk in your final, just combine the two tasks," Namjoon says as if it was the most simple thing ever.
Jieun stares at him, "I can have my show be men?" She asks confused.
Namjoon nods, "I'll accept it, you just have to find your own models, I've seen you with a few male students, maybe you can convince them?"
Jieun loses focus, mind whirling as she tries to work out the different aspects of this new idea. Namjoon smiles, watching her think, patiently waiting for her to come back to earth.
"Thank you, Professor, I have to go," Jieun says, realizing how well this could work out for her. She all but runs out of the room, immediately racing to the photography lab when Taehyung seemed to always be, completely forgetting about lunch.
